The roadside pho shop suddenly "exploded in sales" after Rosé (BLACKPINK) did this when coming to Vietnam

Rosé's (BLACKPINK) love for Vietnamese food is not only a huge plus point in BLINK Vietnam's heart but also helps the roadside pho shop become a destination visited by many tourists in Seoul, South Korea.

Coming to Hanoi to perform on July 29-30, BLACKPINK delighted Vietnamese fans and scored extremely strong points when she and her 3 sisters constantly mentioned and did not hesitate to show their love for Vietnamese culture and cuisine, including pho.

During the Hanoi tour, BlackPink had the opportunity to enjoy Hanoi heirloom pho at a price of 280,000 VND / bowl. The image of Rosé depicting Lisa slurping a bowl of pho on stage does not please fans, in fact pho is Rosé's favorite dish.

In 2019, Rosé posted on her personal page a photo of eating pho at a popular restaurant in the heart of Seoul, South Korea with the caption "Late night Pho". The image of the top star covered in jackfruit sitting slurping a bowl of pho made Vietnamese fans excited.

Eating Vietnamese specialties in Korea makes fans, first Vietnamese living in Korea, then BlackPink fan community hunt for pho shops. Since they don't have to eat at a big store, it took fans a while to find out that the restaurant Rosé came to enjoy was called Pho Thumb.

Instead of looking for a fancy restaurant, the Blackpink member set out to find a small makeshift restaurant. This made fans curious, tracing the whereabouts of this restaurant. Very soon, Pho Thumb was 'pointed'. This is a restaurant in the form of pojangmacha, which is the common name for small roadside stalls erected from tarps on a mobile vending truck to sell food at affordable prices. Pojangmacha is considered a part of Korean culture, frequently appearing on the streets and familiar in films.

The Pho Thumb bar account later reshared the status as if implicitly confirming that the idol had visited her shop. The shop operates in a 'here and now' format, with no fixed location. However, since its opening, the owner has also focused on decorating the shop with many details associated with Vietnam such as conical hats, paintings of girls wearing ao dai.

Thanks to the "PR 0 dong" of YSL's global brand ambassador, a large number of diners have visited the restaurant to hope for a 'cheap momment' (an idol-like accidental moment), making the owner's business more prosperous, sales 'exploding'. Customers have to wait in line for their turn to serve due to the small staff. Currently, Pho Thumb no longer operates on trolleys but rents space on a busy street in Mapo district, near the famous Hongdae area.

In a prime location, the restaurant can reach more diners, instead of having to move locations constantly as before. The two opening hours of the shop are 11h30-15h (of which the last order is at 14h30) and 17h-22h (last order is at 20h30).

The shop is not too large, seats about 20 people, many tables can overlook the street. In particular, the shop is located on Huiujeong-ro Street, the same street as YG Entertainment's headquarters, where idols and fans pass. It is also the management company of Blackpink and Rosé.

The menu has about a dozen dishes but the hottest dish is Vietnamese beef noodle soup, which is also the dish that Blackpink members are most addicted to here. Two vloggers of Youtube channel HanQuocBros visited this restaurant to enjoy in 2021 and praised "Pho Rosé". The Korean guy asked the owner and was told that the broth was simmered for 8 hours, without adding MSG, it still had a unique taste. The restaurant has an open kitchen so diners can observe the processing process and chat with the chef.

Pho is served with lemon, fresh chili, chili sauce, black sauce like in Vietnam, you can ask for more for free. In addition, they also sell seafood noodles, spicy and sour noodles, some snacks such as fried breaded shrimp. In addition to Pho, they have almost all Vietnamese "specialties" and have received good feedback.

The shop decorates many items related to Vietnam. On his personal page, the owner has many times shared photos of traveling to Vietnam.

Earlier, after hearing Rosé "brag" about the moment she ate the original Vietnamese Pho and expressed her interest in the dish. The BLINKs also quickly found the shop they visited.

Backstage restaurant - once listed on Michelin selected (Michelin suggested) located right at the hotel where 4 female idols stayed in Hanoi - Capella Hanoi is the place where BLACKPINK went to enjoy traditional Vietnamese food. The restaurant is the only place serving the cuisine of the country, under the guidance of culinary artisan Anh Tuyet.

BlackPink opted for beef noodle soup. Each bowl of pho at this restaurant costs 280,000 VND. The bread costs 260,000 VND / unit, the filling includes: lean pork shoulder grilled with charcoal, chicken liver pate, pork ears, melon, cucumber, coriander and sambal chutney.

BlackPink's experiences and impressions with Vietnamese dishes at Backstage restaurant contribute significantly to bringing Ha Thanh cuisine to the world.
