Aaron Kwok is known as one of the four famous "Heavenly Kings" of Hong Kong's entertainment industry. Having been active for more than four decades, he is still the most sought-after face today.
Aaron Kwok Fu-shing, born October 26, 1965, is a Hong Kong singer, dancer and actor. Active since the 1980s, he was ranked among the "Four Heavenly Kings" of Hong Kong, nicknamed "Dancing King" for his extraordinary dancing talent.
Aaron Kwok's stage presence is influenced by the late American artist Michael Jackson. He has released more than 30 studio albums in Cantonese and Mandarin, mostly in the dance-pop genre, with elements of rock, R&B, soul, electronic and traditional Chinese music.
In parallel with his musical career, Aaron Kwok began his acting career with roles in the TVB drama Genghis Khan (1987), followed by Taiping Heavenly Kingdom (1988), The Man from Guangdong (1991), Heartstrings (1994) and Battle of Corruption (1996).
He gained wide recognition for his role in The Return of the Condor Heroes (1991), and was nominated for the Hong Kong Film Award for Best Supporting Actor, before starring in a series of box office hits such as School of the Condor Heroes (1993), Thunderclap (2000), Three Personalities (2005), Father and Son (2006), Treading on the Bloody Plum Blossoms (2015) and Counterfeit Money Heist (2018).
From his superb acting skills and his first Mandopop album starting with Loving You Never Stop to his stage moves inspired by Michael Jackson's mesmerizing dances - Aaron Kwok has carved out a niche and is revered as an all-round entertainer.
If his father had wanted it, Aaron Kwok would have been the manager of his family’s jewelry business. Fortunately, one of his brothers took over the reins, paving the way for him to pursue his passion for art, grow into success, and become a big star.
Like many of his contemporaries, Aaron Kwok also had humble beginnings. While many know him as a top actor and singer, he initially started out as a background dancer, performing in music videos and variety shows during a dance training course at TVB, where his talent was immediately noticed.
After working as a backup dancer, Aaron Kwok also played small roles in many TVB dramas before landing a Honda DJ-1RR motorcycle commercial in 1990, which changed his life and made him extremely popular with Taiwanese women.
Aaron Kwok's singing career reached new heights in the 1990s after the release of his Mandopop album, which included the hit Loving You Forever. He followed it up with Cantopop specials in Hong Kong and was soon hailed as one of the "Four Heavenly Kings" along with Andy Lau, Jacky Cheung and Leon Lai.
In addition to becoming one of Hong Kong's most prominent pop stars, Aaron Kwok has also cemented his popularity internationally.
He collaborated with global singing icons such as Janet Jackson and Ricky Martin for a promotional single and Pepsi commercial. A full music video featuring Aaron Kwok was also released in the Asian market.
In the program "Aaron Kwok De Show Reel Extension Live" in February 2008, Aaron Kwok performed on the largest indoor revolving platform - a 450-degree rotating platform, the stage was 10m x 9.44m in size, which was recorded in the Guinness Book of World Records, not only setting a record for performing on the largest indoor revolving stage but also creating a category as a new innovation in performance.
In addition to his successful career, Aaron Kwok is also admired for his happy family. His wife is 23 years younger than him, the beautiful model Moka Fang. They have two beautiful daughters, Chantelle Kwok and Charlotte Kwok, who inherit their parents' good looks and are considered to be little beauties.
Aaron Kwok made his relationship with Moka Fang public in 2015, via his Weibo account. The two got married in 2017. They have since shared warm family photos on social media. In a 2018 interview with the South China Morning Post, the “King of Dance†said: “I don’t think about racing cars or supercars anymore. Now I just drive my family around.â€
Since getting married, Aaron Kwok has been quite busy and has had little time to visit his hometown with Moka Fang. By the end of February 2025, he had taken his wife and children back to Anhui, China to visit his maternal relatives. At the same time, he denied the rumor that Moka was born into a poor family.
Photos on social media show that the house of Quach Phu Thanh's wife's extended family is old-fashioned, spacious and beautiful. The famous son-in-law dyes his hair black and yellow, wears dynamic and healthy clothes, so few people realize that he is 59 years old. The actor also politely bows to the elders in the house, listens to his father-in-law's instructions to take pictures with relatives.
At first, only his family knew about Aaron Kwok's appearance in Anhui. However, thanks to the power of social media, within a few hours, the news had spread throughout the small village. People gathered in front of his house to see the star.
The extended family then headed to a restaurant in the local nightlife district for dinner. At first, Aaron Kwok was quite amiable, willing to take pictures and chat with everyone. However, after he discovered that someone was constantly taking pictures with their phone while he was eating, and even trying to place the camera under the table, his attitude changed completely.
More and more people learned about Aaron Kwok's schedule in Anhui and gathered in front of the restaurant. He was forced to leave immediately because he was worried that the situation would get out of control if too many people gathered. Then, the small family also returned to Hong Kong (China) immediately because they did not want to make noise and disrupt local life.
Despite some troubles during his time in his hometown, Aaron Kwok was still in a good mood after experiencing many interesting things during his short trip. Many of his friends in the Hong Kong (China) artist community said he called them to brag about his experiences during his recent trip.
