"Countdown Clock" sparked controversy when episode 14 featured intense and sensitive scenes during prime time, causing viewers to worry and question the broadcast's age rating.
The prime-time drama "Countdown Clock" is entering its climax as a series of conflicts escalate to extreme tension. The plot is becoming increasingly fast-paced and dramatic, revolving around the confrontation between the main characters, sparking both curiosity and intense debate among viewers about the broadcast's content.
In episode 14, the focus of the story is the journey to rescue Chien (played by Binh An) and Minh Anh (played by Yen My) from the control of the wealthy woman Kieu Tho (played by Lan Phuong). The two characters Thanh (Thanh Son) and Chi (Hoang Ha) strive to find a way to free them from this dangerous control. However, this episode faced mixed reviews due to the frequent appearance of psychologically sensitive scenes, along with prolonged sensitive segments that occupied nearly a third of the broadcast time.
Previously, in episode 12, the character Kieu Tho discovered Chien – who was allegedly exploiting her romantic relationship for financial gain and property. Not only that, Chien and Minh Anh were also accused of "burning bridges" and even plotting to gather evidence to harm Kieu Tho. The tense confrontation scenes between the characters quickly spread on social media, attracting millions of views and generating intense discussion. In particular, Lan Phuong's performance as Kieu Tho received much praise for successfully portraying a powerful woman with a distorted and extremely controlling personality.
In episode 14, the drama intensifies when Kieu Tho forces Minh Anh to "pay off her debt" by entertaining clients, constantly threatening to use sexual acts if she resists. Notably, the entire process is filmed as a tool for revenge against Chien. At the same time, Chien is forced into a similar situation with another wealthy woman with a perverted personality, causing both of them to experience severe mental distress.
The performances of the cast, especially Lan Phương, continued to be a highlight, clearly portraying inner conflict, a cold gaze, and powerful emotional outbursts. The character Kiều Thơ was both haunting and captivating to viewers due to her psychological complexity.
However, besides its artistic merits and acting, the film is facing significant controversy regarding its broadcast time slot. Many viewers argue that airing it during prime time without age-appropriate warnings is unsuitable, especially given the content's sensitive psychological elements and controversial situations. Numerous parents have shared that they are forced to turn off the TV during overly explicit scenes, fearing that children might inadvertently access inappropriate content.

The CFA Team China - Xi'an 2026 International Football Tournament took place from March 25th to 31st, featuring the Vietnam U23 team, the North Korea U23 team, the Thailand U23 team, and the China U23 team. This was a friendly tournament held at the beginning of the year, organized by the Chinese Football Association.
The teams compete in a round-robin format to determine the champion.
The Vietnam U23 team participating in this tournament has a significantly different roster compared to the U23 Asian Championship earlier this year. Players like Dinh Bac, Trung Kien, Ly Duc, Thanh Nhan, etc., are not included.
Instead, the team features many new faces, many of whom are quite young, still in the U21 age group. Even the coach this time is only interim coach Dinh Hong Vinh. It can be said that this is a good opportunity for the young players of the Vietnam U23 team to gain experience and hone their skills in international competition.
On film forums, the question of why the film wasn't rated for adults is being raised more and more frequently. Viewers argue that with its tense plot, psychological manipulation, and sensitive elements, age rating is necessary to ensure viewers can make appropriate choices.
Previously, the series "Quynh the Doll" caused a stir when it aired at a similar time slot with many similar issues. After airing 6 episodes on VTV1 in July 2018, the series had to be temporarily suspended, its content revised, and re-aired on VTV3 from September 2018 with an adult rating and a later time slot, from 9:30 PM to 10:30 PM.
