Park Jung Min is a famous actor in Korea and one of the members of the group SS501. Thanks to his extensive experience, each work that Park Jung Min participates in has a unique highlight, which is extremely loved by the audience.
Park Jung Min was born in 1987 in Seoul and is a Korean actor and singer and is known as a member of the boy band SS501. He entered the entertainment industry in 2005 with SS501 with his debut single Warning , taking on the role of supporting singer and lead dancer. The group is under the management of entertainment group Daesung Entertainment, the same group that created KARD and APRIL.
By 2006, the group was barely active in Korea due to member Heo Young Saeng's health. After his contract expired, the male singer left Daesung Entertainment and worked as a solo artist, and released the songs If you can't, Not Alone, Like tears are falling.
In 2009, he made his debut in the musical Grease as Danny Park. Park Jung Min also appeared in the main role in Human Theater. He also opened an online shopping center Royal Avenue as CEO. ONstyle magazine even filmed a short documentary about it called What Women Want.
Park Jung Min once shared that he started dreaming of being an actor since middle school, but it took him a while to determine whether that was what he really wanted or not. After high school, he became a student at Korea University, one of the most prestigious private universities in the country.
"I'm a student with good academic performance, so I can't suddenly tell my parents outright that I want to be an actor," Park Jung Min said. When he gradually became more certain about his dream, as well as feeling that he had the ability to realize it, he decided to attend Korea National University of Arts and study acting.
It was thought that the acting path would be open, but starting with an impressive role made Park Jung Min struggle to find a breakthrough for himself. After that, he only appeared in small supporting roles, unable to make the audience remember his face, and the name Park Jung Min gradually faded from the screen. Debuting in 2007 when he just turned 20 years old with short films, in 2010, he began to gain attention when participating in Bleak Night directed by Yoon Sung Hyun.
In 2015, Park Jung Min rose to prominence with a supporting role in "Office", a film shown at the Cannes Film Festival the same year, marking a turning point for Jung Min's professional acting path. But it wasn't until 2016, 9 years after debut, that Park Jung Min had a real turning point thanks to Dongju: The Portrait of a Poet , a historical work by famous director Lee Joon Ik.

This role helped him be named at many awards ceremonies for the "Best New Actor" category, notably the 2016 Baeksang Arts Awards, the 2016 Blue Dragon Film Awards and the 2017 Chunsa Film Art Awards. After that, he also appeared in a number of works such as "Sunset in my Hometown" (Sunset in town - 2018), "Tazza: One Eyed Jack" (Trickster One Eyed Jack - 2019), "Time to Hunt " (Time to Hunt - 2020), "The Miracle" (Miracle - 2020)...
Shining brightly when many colleagues of the same generation had a solid foothold in the Korean film industry, Park Jung Min can be said to be a late blooming flower of Chungmuro. Both are alumni of the Korean National University of Arts and have acted in the same movie, but Lee Je Hoon and Byun Yo Han are the ones who broke through earlier than Park Jung Min even though they even debuted after him.
"I know that Byun Yo Han will be famous before me because he has good acting, facial expressions, good dancing and many other things. Studying is probably the only thing I'm better at than him. I'm not "I'm jealous or under any pressure about this. I just hope I will be more famous so my parents can be proud of me wherever I go," Park Jung Min once said in a 2015 interview with JoongAng newspaper. Daily. In March 2017, he confided to the press that even though he received the Blue Dragon Rookie Award, not many people knew him after that.

In less than 3 years, he appeared in 9 movies and the TV series Entourage. Among these are Psychokinesis, a huge budget project (nearly 10 million USD), Entourage, one of two remakes of an American TV series by cable station tvN in 2016 (but not as successful as expected), or The King. and Keys to the Heart are films that feature big names and are both successful at the box office.
Besides acting, Park Jung Min also pursues a writing career. It all started quite simply. While filming for Bleak Night, he posted behind-the-scenes stories on the film's blog and received great attention. Within the next three years, he participated in writing for Topclass magazine. By the end of 2016, Park Jung Min also published a book titled Usable Human, telling about his battles with himself as a rising star.
The stories that Park Jung Min tells always win the hearts of readers thanks to his humorous and witty writing style. In Usable Human, he calls himself "an ugly third-rate supporting actor". Explaining this, he said: "I'm a pessimist. I think I'm incompetent. I always feel inferior to people with natural acting talent. This book is about the black process. darkness and difficulties that I overcame to achieve my goal. I just wrote it with a humorous pen. If I were to describe it in one sentence, I would say: "I am an incompetent person, but I want to go as far as possible."
In 2019, Park Jung Min came to Vietnam to collaborate with Hari Won in Oppa, so annoying! The film is about the love story of an idol singer and an ordinary girl.
The film has a familiar motif but brings a new experience to TV viewers by swapping the bodies of the two main characters and the extremely harmonious combination between Park Jung Min and Hari Won.
After that, the two also had the opportunity to collaborate in the web drama Who will be my future family?. Furthermore, he also appeared on the show Mysterious Voice as a guest. His appearance on Vietnamese television received much support.
Although he did not achieve much success in his singing career, Park Jung Min has found a place for himself on the acting path. After nearly a decade of filming, he has received recognition from fans and is enthusiastically sought after by directors.
