"Boss" Phuoc Sang had a stroke and was admitted to the emergency room. What is his current condition?

The news that artist Phuoc Sang had a stroke and had to be hospitalized received a lot of attention from the public. In recent years, the male artist's health has "deteriorated" causing many colleagues and audiences to worry.

According to MC Quyen Linh's share in Thanh Nien newspaper, he heard the news that actor and director Phuoc Sang was hospitalized from a mutual friend.

"I was told by a friend that Phuoc Sang had a stroke and had to be hospitalized. Today his health is better. I am busy filming the movie Hai Muoi on Thieng Lieng island, Can Gio district So I haven't been able to visit Phuoc Sang yet," Quyen Linh said.

Artist Quyen Linh added that actor Phuoc Sang was hospitalized a few days ago and is being treated at the Cardiology Department of a hospital in Ho Chi Minh City.

Phuoc Sang was born in 1969, known as an actor, director, and film producer. Since he was in school, he participated in pantomime and comedy performances in the theater team of the Cultural House of District 6, Ho Chi Minh City.

The actor once founded the comedy stage comedy group Age of Twenties with famous names in showbiz such as Phuoc Sang, Nhat Cuong, Hoang Son, Huu Chau, Huu Nghia... However, later Phuoc Sang completely switched to film business and production. In the 2000s, Phuoc Sang was the "king of Tet movies", producing and participating in many big-winning works.

After defaulting on debt in 2012, Phuoc Sang had to work hard to repay the debt. At that time, he lived separately from actor Kim Thu and divorced in 2016. Phuoc Sang's two children lived with his ex-wife. Up to now, ex-husband Kim Thu has gradually stabilized. He also actively returned to art, participating in a few movies and even judging beauty pageants.

"More than 10 years ago, I sometimes earned a billion dong a month. Now, every month I earn tens of millions, sometimes only a few million. The income is not regular, but I 'make ends meet' to make ends meet, no matter what." I feel guilty because I used to live a simple life, eating two meals a day," the male artist once shared.

Having gone through many ups and downs as well as age problems, Phuoc Sang is currently suffering from many diseases such as high blood pressure, had a stroke and left some sequelae and his physical condition is only about 70-80% compared to normal people.

In 2013, Phuoc Sang once had a stroke, right before the premiere of the movie Tet I Dare You, which he invested in and produced. At that time, actress Kim Thu had to take her two sons Do La and O Ro to the movie premiere ceremony on behalf of her husband.

For many years, Phuoc Sang has lived a private life, absent from entertainment activities. In March 2023, the artist appeared at an event in Ho Chi Minh City, reuniting with once close colleagues such as Truong Ngoc Anh and Phuong Thanh.

Phuoc Sang said he had high blood pressure and had to be hospitalized many times. According to the artist, the illness caused his physical condition to age quickly at the age of over 50. However, Phuoc Sang calmly faced everything that happened to him, let go of worries, and was happy with what he had.

"I can't say anything in advance. God calls everyone to do the same. I just try to live well, overcome my illness and not be depressed," the artist shared at the event in early March 2023.

MC Quyen Linh is Phuoc Sang's close friend from childhood. Both are the same age and studied at the same School of Theater Arts 2 (now Ho Chi Minh City School of Theater and Cinema). The friendship of the two artists is said to be rare in the showbiz world.

Over the years, even though each person has their own life and job, they still maintain a close relationship, occasionally gathering and exchanging old memories. Quyen Linh was by Phuoc Sang's side when the actor was sick, and stood up to protect and clear his name when his close friend was accused of fraud and debt collection from a businessman in 2012.
