Artist Minh Hanh said she was born in a family with no artistic tradition, but she is very passionate herself. When she grew up, the female artist enrolled to study as an actress. Graduating from the acting class of the School of Dramatic Arts II in 1978, Minh Hanh "joined" the Cuu Long Giang Theater Troupe, then the Ho Chi Minh City Young Drama Troupe.

In 1989, by chance, artist Truong Long of the troupe said that Kim Cuong had played with the Young Theater Troupe, saw that Minh Hanh performed well, so he went back to compliment the "pregnant woman" Kim Cuong. While the group lacked young training, artist Kim Cuong agreed to accept Minh Hanh to join the group. It can be said that this is a big turning point in Minh Hanh's artistic life. After the play Happy Buyers, the troupe said that Kim Cuong was dissolved, Minh Hanh was very sad and disappointed. At that time, Mother Bay was always beside her to encourage and comfort her. It was also thanks to the advice of People's Artist Bay Nam, People's Artist Kim Cuong that she decided to study directing at university (the same course as directors Thanh Hoi, Khanh Hoang, Tat My Ly) and graduated with honors in 1998.

During her artistic journey, artist Minh Hanh confided that she had experienced many ups and downs, traveled in many troupes and sometimes did not participate in acting but acted as a manager. There was a time when 5X artist worked as a manager at Tran Huu Trang Cai Luong Theater and Ho Chi Minh City Drama Theater. That was the time when she learned more about the new field. However, the female artist admitted that she did not like to work as a manager, but only liked being an actress. She said: "Although I am quite busy, I must try to do well in the management work that the State leaders have entrusted to me".

"When doing art activities, the saddest thing is when I can't work. I love being an actor because every time I play a role, I get to live with the moods, anxiety, dreams achieved and not yet achieved. achieved by the character. After the divorce, artist Minh Hanh chose to live with two children. The first son of the female artist is over 40 years old, currently a software engineer. Her daughter is studying abroad in France. Minh Hanh shared that she was lucky when her children studied hard and knew how to work more voluntarily to make ends meet in a foreign country. The female artist proudly said that she had been to France to visit her children and was also taken by her daughter to travel to 7 countries around the world.

Currently, at the age of U70, artist Minh Hanh lives comfortably in a spacious house in Tan Phu district (HCMC). She confided that many people often ask "how can I have a big house and have money to send my children to study abroad".

Talking about this, the female artist confided: "Firstly, I thank my parents for giving me some gold to save. Besides, I also know how to accumulate and save since I was young. That day 1 gold inch was equal to 10 flowers, the flowers are only half as small as a little fingernail. When I go to perform, when I get paid, I try to save a little to buy 1 flower.
