Mai Chau is known as one of the veteran actors of Vietnamese Revolutionary Cinema. She devoted more than 4 decades to the art with a series of big and small roles, and recently passed away at the age of 98.

Meritorious Artist Mai Chau's real name is Mai Thi Chau, born in 1927 in Vinh city, Nghe An province. She joined the Revolution in August 1945, was a National Salvation Woman, then a self-defense member of Vinh city.
