Huong Dung said that this amount of debt she stands out as a guarantee for a close friend to borrow. However, when this person ran out of ability to pay and left, she became a "debtor" because she had previously stood "as a mortgage" with the creditor. "Debt transfers itself from one person to another, I'm just standing in the middle and have to bear that debt," said Meritorious Artist Huong Dung.
When she fell into dire straits, Huong Dung had no choice but to actively run shows and act in movies to earn money to pay her debts. Actress The Judge called this the most haunting and miserable period in her life. While working, taking care of her family and worrying about the word "debt" always hanging over her head, she did not have a moment to relax.
She "plowed" many jobs at the same time, running shows, acting with a dense frequency just hoping to have money. Huong Dung even borrowed new debt to pay the old debt due to the interest incurred. Because of that, the debt owed to her husband lasted for many years without stopping.
"At that time, I just hoped for a miracle, like winning the lottery, like having a relative from overseas Vietnamese send me that money, or having a job that pays enough for me to pay that debt. It was so haunting. distracting me, always thinking about debt ...", she said.
Because of the large amount of debt, Huong Dung once thought of selling the 6-storey house that her whole family owned. Many times, she had to beg creditors to ask for a late payment because she could no longer afford it.
Fortunately, Huong Dung finally paid off the debt after many years. The female artist said that in addition to her own efforts, she also has support from her family and "community with suffering".
"When the incident happened, my children and family tried everything to fix it. The whole family had to sell everything they could, even take out a loan to pay for the aforementioned debt. to be in debt, I think it's a really lucky thing."
