Although he had just been discharged from the hospital for a short time, People's Artist Thanh Tuan looked very healthy, with a rosy complexion, a clear voice, active movements, and even taught classes at his art center for singing vọng cổ. This made the audience extremely surprised and happy because just a few weeks ago, it seemed like he would not survive.

People's Artist Thanh Tuan said: "I'm healthy, much healthier. I lost about 7 or 8 kg but I feel much lighter. It's because I lost weight that I'm healthier. Before, I was overweight, so I was weak, sick, and had pressure on my heart.

I use this place as a place to teach on the first floor, and the second floor as a place to live. I used to live at home but recently moved here for convenience, to avoid having to travel a lot. I was discharged from the hospital half a month ago. Currently, I have to take medicine every day, both morning and afternoon. I can eat, not much at each meal, only about half a bowl of rice, but many times, I eat 4 or 5 meals a day.

I also exercise diligently, waking up in the morning and walking back and forth, moving my arms and legs, doing some simple movements and breathing. I am lucky and blessed so my health is still good. From childhood until now, this is the most serious illness I have had, a near-death experience. I have never been as seriously ill as I am now. Actually, I had symptoms 25 years ago but the doctor told me to ignore them, so I ignored them and did not go for regular check-ups."

Currently, family members are always on hand to take care of People's Artist Thanh Tuan. His daughter - Loan - has also returned from Australia to take care of her father.
