Currently, the project has about 1,500 bottles, but up to 1,000 bottles have not been returned.

Every day, the project team has to change empty cylinders and continuously refill oxygen, so the remaining 500 bottles can only be used for about 250 bottles for emergency treatment of F0 cases. Meanwhile, on average, there are 400-500 cases in Ho Chi Minh City that need oxygen support projects every day, so the situation is very difficult.

"Maybe they want to store oxygen cylinders, keep them for family members just in case, even though it's not necessary. But that way, people who need oxygen don't have a bottle to use. If the user doesn't return the bottle after using it, they can't return it. can take the life of a person in need of oxygen," said the father of the oxygen ATM project.

Mr. Tuan Anh said that the fact that many people finished using the oxygen cylinders kept and did not return them to the project was an unexpected development before the implementation. All plans are turned upside down. He calculated that if the 1,000 oxygen tanks that are being held back are all returned, the oxygen ATM project can do its best to support 1,000 shifts a day.

"We are under a lot of pressure. Volunteers contacted many times with families who borrowed oxygen cylinders, couldn't get it back, and sometimes even got scolded. Also because the number of bottles left was too small, some The person who called to borrow an oxygen tank that we didn't have to bring was also harshly told, told to do charity without an oxygen tank.
