The youngest son of the late artist, Song Minh, revealed that the health of the artist Huu Thanh has changed since the beginning of this year. About 2, 3 weeks before his death, artist Huu Thanh was still completely healthy and happily talked to his children and grandchildren. But about a week ago, artist Huu Thanh started to get tired and fell into an unconscious state. He took his last breath around 2pm.

Artist Huu Thanh was born in 1933 in Binh Duong. Before falling in love with him, he soon fell in love with the musical instrument and used to follow the Thai Binh singing troupe. Initially, he worked as a runner and was given small roles. Gradually, he was assigned the main role and then the manager of the reformed group Huu Chi changed his stage name to Huu Thanh.

Later, he continued to join the singing troupes: Mong Van, Hoa Sen, Huong Thu Autumn and continued to stick with the singing profession before entering the film industry.

In a television program, he shared that after 40 years of doing the stage, in 1989-1990 the stage was no longer in its golden age, so he decided to go to Saigon to set up a career and was introduced by actor Nguyen Hau. into cinema. He once shared: "My mind is to work until the day I lie down, when I have no health anymore. If I can't do it anymore, I'll do it. But if I'm healthy, I'll still do it. Definitely do this job. ".

And even though he is 87 years old, he is still hard at work on the set with the series Think TV broadcast on YouTube. This series just ended the scene before the COVID-19 epidemic occurred.

Director Nguyen Minh Khang shared: "When starting to work on short film projects, I immediately thought of inviting Huu Thanh's father. I was afraid that the budget was not enough to invite him, but the production side told me to invite him.

I was really touched when my father accepted the offer and told me to give as much as possible depending on the project.

At first, I thought that filming with adults would be difficult in directing work, but on the contrary, my father always asked me how I wanted to act. This makes me as a director and the crew very fond of my father."

After the project in the series "Thinking TV" filmed in August 2020, Nguyen Minh Khang planned to invite him to participate in new projects, but now he has gone away.

"When I heard that he passed away, I was shocked and didn't believe it was true. Artist Huu Thanh works professionally, respects everyone, and I learned professionalism from him," said Nguyen Minh Khang.

According to information, the family will take the body of artist Huu Thanh to be cremated at Da Phuoc cemetery (Binh Chanh district) at noon on August 2.
