Namtan Tipnaree "Sugar Mom" is loved by thousands, surpassing "The most beautiful witch in Thailand"

She entered the entertainment industry as a teenager, starting as an MC, photo model and advertising model, then becoming an actress under GMMTV.

Namtan Tipnaree's every step, though not outstanding, is slow and steady, towards becoming a professional, dedicated actor.

After many notable films as well as being active in the fashion industry, she has a large fan base in Thailand and internationally. The actress's personal Insta account currently has more than 2 million followers.

In Vietnam, besides the name Namtan, fans also call her "Duong's mother" because Namtan in Thai means "sugar".

Namtan Tipnaree was born on July 1, 1996 in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya province, with the original name Narumon Weerawatthanodhom. Namtan's older brother is Ton Naruebodin Weerawatnodom, a football player for Buriram United Club and a player of the Thailand national football team.

Before her debut, Namtan was known for her brother's fame. In an interview with Dek-D.com, when asked how she felt about being recognized for her brother's name, Namtan said, "I feel happy that people remember me, even if they don't watch the drama, but at least know that I'm his younger sister."

As a child, Namtan Tipnaree wanted to become a flight attendant because she was interested in languages. However, when her mother took her to a fortune teller, she was told that she would never be able to become a flight attendant. From then on, Namtan's dream of flying in the sky stopped.

Namtan Tipnaree has been involved in the entertainment industry since she was a teenager, making her debut as a host on Strawberry Krubcake. "My dad wanted Namtan to go to school and find a job at the same time. He made me understand that working taught me responsibility and allowed me to try and find what I liked," the actress told ELLE Men Thailand.

Trying her hand at the entertainment industry from a young age helped Namtan discover what she liked and was talented in. Later, she decided to major in acting and directing at the Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts. Studying also helped her gain a deeper understanding of her work.

"Studying this major helps me understand more about art. It motivates me to become a good actor, able to convey the theme of the story, convey the character so that people can see that people have many aspects. Studying makes me passionate about the charm of acting."

Namtan Tipnaree graduated from the Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, Srinakharinwirot University, majoring in acting and directing in 2018. She then enrolled in a master's program with the same major and completed the course in May 2024.

One of Namtan's joys is enjoying delicious food. The actress also emphasizes the need to take care of her body to stay healthy. On a daily basis, Namtan likes to wear comfortable clothes: "Thailand is a tropical country. So I like to wear loose jeans, T-shirts and accessories to look more luxurious."

When going to work or attending events, she prioritizes a luxurious, gentle style, adding accessories and jewelry. The actress's fashion philosophy is to favor luxurious jewelry that makes her feel confident when worn.

Namtan Tipnaree is known as an active, outgoing girl who is not afraid to show her personality in front of the camera. However, the actress said that she feels that her playful nature is also a weakness.

"Currently, the flaw that Namtan wants to improve is that I am a cheerful person, who likes to joke around. Sometimes being cheerful can hurt others without realizing it. That is the point Namtan wants to change.

The actress always has a positive outlook on life, is progressive and looks at problems from the perspective of learning and gaining experience. She shared that sadness will pass, and so will happiness. If something goes wrong or breaks down, first accept it and then fix it. Don't blame others, but look back at yourself.
