Nam Thanh: 9X "rookie" of Vietnamese music industry, organizing huge live show overseas

Nam Thanh's first live show in his career, "1999", recently took place in the beautiful city of Perth, Western Australia. His live show event left a lot of echoes, delighting fans, especially in the overseas market.

"1999" is also the year of birth of Nam Thanh - a singer from the sunny land of Ninh Hoa. Sharing the reason for organizing the first live show of his career overseas instead of in the country, Nam Thanh said he had a "very personal" reason.

The 9x male singer said that in the past 2 years, he has performed quite often in Australia. He was fortunate to receive love and enthusiastic support from Vietnamese audiences in the land of kangaroos, so he decided to perform his first live show in this beautiful country.

"I want to express my gratitude to my overseas benefactors, the people who have loved me most sincerely and passionately, and have helped me realize what sublimation in love for music is," Nam Thanh said.

Nam Thanh's live show "1999" received enthusiastic support from the audience. The entire auditorium was full, and many people even had to stand to watch the show because there weren't enough seats. "I'm extremely grateful to the audience," the singer emotionally shared.

Nam Thanh's live show "1999" did not sell tickets. He is probably one of the first Vietnamese singers to do this, especially overseas, where the cost of performing a show is dozens of times more expensive than in the country.

Talking about this "willingness to spend", Nam Thanh confided: "It means I want to treat my benefactor audience with a musical party that truly carries the color of Nam Thanh's love.

That is also my dream from now on. If I am lucky enough to have the opportunity to organize a live show in the future, I still want to do a live show without selling tickets, but to commemorate myself and my audience."

The male singer from Khanh Hoa did not hesitate to express that this is also his way of showing gratitude to his ancestors and the audience who always support him.

When asked about the difficulties in organizing a live show in a foreign country, Nam Thanh said that the biggest obstacle was the geographical issue. This made it impossible for the live show to gather all of his loved ones, domestic audiences, and even close colleagues and guests to attend.

The second difficulty is the cost of organizing. Because the cost of organizing a live show abroad is many times higher than organizing it domestically. Meanwhile, all of these costs are from the male singer's own pocket and not from sponsors. "That is a big challenge and pressure for me," Nam Thanh expressed.

Not to mention the language of communication during the program also caused Nam Thanh to face a lot of pressure. Luckily, the male singer received enthusiastic support from the overseas MC who is also his show producer - actor Truong Bao Xuyen, who is currently living and working in Australia.

"It can be said that without Mr. Truong Bao Xuyen, I definitely would not have been able to do this live show. Mr. Xuyen created the best conditions for my live show to take place as expected," Nam Thanh added.

Talking about an unforgettable memory when organizing the live show "1999", Nam Thanh said that it took him and his crew 3 months to prepare. "During the nearly 3 months of touring and staying in Australia to prepare for the live show, I had weather allergies almost every day because winter in Australia is very cold.

I kept having a cold and cough that wouldn't go away. But on the day of the live show, I was very healthy, without any symptoms of fatigue or illness like the previous days. Perhaps this was the love of the profession for me," Nam Thanh confided.

After the live show "1999", Nam Thanh plans to launch his own entertainment company, specializing in fields such as event organization, music production, videos, recording studios and especially organizing music shows overseas, bringing domestic singers closer to overseas audiences. In addition, he also started working on a new MV and is expected to release it to the audience in early 2025.

Nam Thanh graduated from the Vocal Department of Ho Chi Minh City College of Culture and Arts in 2020. He used to be a collaborator of the Ho Chi Minh City Light Music Center in many major programs organized by this unit. This 9x guy is currently one of the young singers who are in demand overseas, especially in the land of kangaroos.

Nham Nam Thanh's real name is Dang Trung Thanh, born in 1999 in Khanh Hoa. Since childhood, his father nurtured his passion for music by playing guitar for his children to sing, and he soon revealed his talent.

In 2017, Nam Thanh passed the entrance exam to the Vocal Music Department of Ho Chi Minh City College of Culture and Arts, officially entering the artistic path as he dreamed.
