Miss Cosmo 2024: Vietnam upgrades the Ty Hy costume, weighs 50kg to compete in National Costume

With the journey at Miss Cosmo 2024, Miss Xuan Hanh and international contestants are preparing to enter the National Costume competition taking place in Ninh Binh on September 19. Xuan Hanh's costume named Ty Hy has been officially announced with a new version.

Miss Cosmo 2024 is currently a contest that receives a lot of attention from domestic and international beauty enthusiasts. After charity activities, cultural experiences or culinary enjoyment, on September 19, the contestants will enter the first important competition night - National Costume, this is not only the competition where the beauties can introduce to the public the cultural and artistic beauty typical of their homeland, but within the framework of Miss Cosmo 2024, this is also the first official competition, an opportunity for the contestants to introduce themselves to the audience and the judges.

Recently, the upgraded version of the national costume of the Vietnamese representative - Ty Hy has been officially announced. After the change, the costume is more splendid and majestic but at the same time it is also a big challenge for the Vietnamese representative with a weight of 50kg. In addition, there is also an accessory that comes with a parasol of about 5kg, inspired by the design of the Vietnamese conical hat.

At the domestic competition, Ty Hy - the work of designer Nguyen Hung Bao from designer Nguyen Minh Cong's team received many compliments from fashionistas, media, and audiences for its impressive, unique, and different design.

The costumes are inspired by the mouse wedding painting of Dong Ho folk painting village to tell the story of weddings across Vietnam. Nhat Binh dress, wedding palanquin, dragon and phoenix tray,... are all dressed in new clothes using modern techniques, but still retain the old core values. The highlight of Ty Hy is the palanquin inspired by the Phoenix palanquin in Hue Imperial City. Ty Hy conveys the message of sustainable traditional art, not only preserving but also having the mission of inheriting and promoting, bringing Vietnamese culture to integrate with international friends.

To make it easier for Miss Xuan Hanh to move around, designer Nguyen Hung Bao added wheels to the costume. At the same time, she was accompanied and supported by Choreographer and Body Liberation Coach Yu Tran during her practice, helping her dance in a costume that was very difficult to move in.

Previously, in the reality TV series Vietnam Road to Miss Cosmo 2024, Miss Xuan Hanh, although very impressed with Ty Hy, also expressed her concern when she learned that the costume was too heavy and cumbersome, with many details, making it difficult to perform. However, the beauty showed determination, ready to face the challenge with the desire to have a good performance, and at the same time bring the beauty of Vietnamese culture to the international community.

Sharing her feelings when wearing and practicing with the "upgraded" Ty Hy costume, Miss Xuan Hanh shared: "Ty Hy is truly a challenge for Xuan Hanh in the National Costume competition at Miss Cosmo 2024, not only because of its weight but also because this design has many details that are very difficult to express. However, this is truly a very beautiful costume with many layers of meaning and cultural value. Xuan Hanh hopes that she will perform well in the upcoming competition night and spread the beauty of Dong Ho folk paintings to international friends."

Currently, Xuan Hanh and the Miss Cosmo 2024 contestants are practicing hard to have the best appearance in the first two official competitions taking place in Ninh Binh, which are the National Costume Show taking place on September 19 and the Fashion Show "Hello Cosmo From Vietnam" taking place on September 20. With careful investment from the organizing committee and careful practice from the contestants, these competitions promise to leave many impressions on domestic and international beauty enthusiasts.
