Miss Cosmo 2024 changes schedule due to storms and floods in the North, 600 million VND in support to overcome

Aiming at humanistic values, the Miss Cosmo organization has decided to change the schedule of some activities of the Miss Cosmo 2024 contest to join hands to overcome the consequences caused by storm No. 3 in the northern provinces.

In the face of the difficult situation in the northern provinces after the storm Yagi, the Miss Cosmo organization has flexibly changed the schedule to join hands with the government and people to overcome the consequences after the storm. Specifically, the "Cosmo Tea with Ambassadors" tea party to welcome the contestants on September 14, the Press Conference to announce the Crown on September 15 and the Fashion Show "Hello Cosmo From Vietnam" on September 17 have been postponed to a more suitable time.

Affirming the slogan "Impactful Beauty - Beauty enhances influence", Miss Cosmo 2024 announced to spend 100 million VND from the cost of organizing the tea party "Cosmo Tea with Ambassadors" for flood relief activities. In addition, the Miss Cosmo organization and the main sponsor of the contest have donated 500 million VND for recovery work and help for flood-affected areas. The total fund that the Miss Cosmo organization has set aside for this relief work is 600 million VND. In addition to cash, the Miss Cosmo organization and sponsors and benefactors also prepared gifts of necessities worth nearly 100 million VND to send to people in flooded areas.

Following the announcement of the amount of money to be shared, on the morning of September 13, in Hanoi, the Miss Cosmo Organizing Committee, representatives of Nam A Bank, and Miss Cosmo 2024 contestants went to the Central Youth Union Office to donate 400 million VND to support children and people to overcome the consequences of Typhoon Yagi.

On September 14, representatives of the organizing committee, Miss Cosmo contestants, and representatives of Nam A Bank continued to travel to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of Thai Nguyen and Phu Tho provinces to visit and support each province with 100 million VND.

In addition to the 600 million VND that was handed over to prestigious agencies and units, in Phu Tho, the organizing committee also prepared 30 more gifts of necessities to support people in difficulty in Tam Nong district. In Thai Nguyen, there were 20 more gifts, each worth 1 million VND in cash, to support 20 students in difficult circumstances during storm No. 3 of the University of Industrial Technology - Thai Nguyen University.

Attending the award ceremony were Mr. Pham Sanh Chau - Former Extraordinary Ambassador and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam to India, Mr. Vu Van Kien - Director of Nam A Bank Thang Long, Dr. Bich Na - Health Director in Miss Cosmo 202 contest, Mr. Nguyen Van Pham - Potedoma Fashion Technology Joint Stock Company, here Potedoma also awarded an additional scholarship worth 60 million VND to 60 students in difficult circumstances, whose families were affected by storm Yagi.

On September 15, the Miss Cosmo organization and contestants continued their journey to help people in difficult areas overcome floods to reach Kenh Ga fishing village, Gia Thinh commune, Gia Vien district, Ninh Binh province. Here, the delegation presented 50 gifts to visit and share with households affected by floods after the storm. The Miss Cosmo contestants were moved and sympathetic when they visited the place and witnessed the heavy losses that the storm and flood left for the people in this remote fishing village.
