On the afternoon of April 25, Mr. Truong Minh Nhat was declared by the People's Court of Ho Chi Minh City to be the author (also the plaintiff) and the copyright owner of the poem "Gang mother" in the first instance session of the lawsuit "Dispute". intellectual property rights" related to this poem.

The court concluded that Mr. Truong Minh Nhat was the author and owner of the poem "Ganh mother" - the lyrics of the song "Ganh mother" (musiced by Quach Beem), used in the movie "Flip Face 4: A Guest House". " (of Ly Hai Production Co., Ltd.).

In addition, the court did not accept part of the plaintiff's claim against Ly Hai company at the following points: Requesting Ly Hai Company to compensate Mr. Nhat for illegally using the poem in the song. the part in the movie "Flip Face 4: The house has guests" with the amount of 825 million dong; asked Ly Hai Company to apologize and correct publicly on the mass media for using the poem Ganh mother by Mr. Truong Minh Nhat in the movie "Flip Face 4: The house has guests" without asking permission, do not properly inform the author; forced Ly Hai Company to make an agreement with Mr. Nhat - to fulfill the obligation to pay for the act of using the poem "Gang mother" - the lyrics of the song "Ganh mother" in the movie "Flip Face 4".

Accordingly, the company of the film director "Flip 4: The house has guests" does not have to perform any obligations to the plaintiff, but only has to name Mr. Truong Minh Nhat as the author of the lyrics of the song "Gang mother ". All claims including compensation and public apology were not accepted by the court. This judgment will take effect if within 15 days from the date of pronouncement, there is no appeal or protest.

According to the judgment, Ly Hai Company was determined by the court to be a third party legally using the song "Ganh mom" and not infringing copyright.

The court also confirmed that Ly Hai company has full ownership and exploitation rights to the content, audio recordings, video recordings... related to this song without paying any additional costs or compensation for any anyone.

The producer of "Flip: House With Guests" said the lawsuit turned his family life upside down. "Nearly 4 years ago, when receiving the petition, not only Ly Hai but the whole family was almost devastated. It must be added that before the incident happened, Ly Hai did not receive information that there was a contact party to talk to. So when receiving the lawsuit, Ly Hai was quite shocked.
