Artist Kieu Mai Ly (real name Nguyen Thi Ly) was born in 1949 in a poor family with many children. She has 9 siblings and all live with her parents, except for her. The female artist said, when she was about one year old, her mother became pregnant with her step-sister. One night, my mother dreamed that she fell dead in the river, so she was very confused. Then, not knowing who to listen to, her parents decided to let her be adopted by a barren couple in the neighborhood, deciding that after giving birth, they would pick her up. However, after spending time with her adoptive parents and being loved to the fullest, Kieu Mai Ly did not want to return to her old home.

Living with her adoptive parents, Kieu Mai Ly is deeply loved. However, because the family is poor, every time they go to the market to sell goods, grandparents often carry the female artist with them. Kieu Mai Ly herself also understood the story very early. When she was 7-8 years old, she knew how to help her parents. Late at night, she got up early to walk from home to Ba Chieu market to get vermicelli and vegetables to sell to her parents, even though she fell asleep many times. Then when her parents switched to selling fish porridge, the female artist also enthusiastically helped with the dishes. When she was 10 years old, she said her parents made her 2 buckets to carry water for her family. The female artist also hires to have money to buy a new pair of sandals. A year after the group disbanded, Kieu Mai Ly thought that her career had reached a dead end when coincidentally, artist Minh Canh established a new group and was also looking for a female singer. So Kieu Mai Ly joined with a salary of 40,000 VND, a huge amount that her family never dreamed of. "Ke" the aura of artist Minh Canh, she quickly became a famous princess of Saigon. However, the female artist only worked for 4 months and then transferred to Da Ly Huong group with a contract of up to 350,000 VND. Originally a reformed artist, Kieu Mai Ly is also known as a comedian, theater, television and film actress. This encroachment stems from her reluctant "substitutes" and her eagerness to learn. In 1982, HTV launched the program Indoor Street, broadcast every Thursday night, becoming an indispensable spiritual dish of the people. Sharing about her late husband, artist Kieu Mai Ly said: "My husband was also a rich man in the past, but when her husband lost his position, a loud voice she did not dare to speak. Currently, at the age of 73, she is still roaming the streets of Saigon with her daughter, going to the film set, going to the stage, continuing to devote herself to the arts. That is the only and biggest passion in the life of the female artist. She always wished that the reformation in particular and the stage in general would always be preserved and developed.
