Justin Bieber has half face paralysis due to rare virus infection

Pop star Justin Bieber has unexpectedly revealed to fans that he has been diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt Syndrome which forced him to pause his Justice World Tour.

The 28-year-old pop singer recently announced that he will be suspending his Justice World Tour due to illness, hours before his first scheduled performance in Toronto. This is the third time Bieber's tour has been postponed, the first two times due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Justin Bieber told fans in a video posted to Instagram on Friday that he's been diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt Syndrome, which leaves him partially paralyzed in his face.

Reportedly, Ramsay Hunt syndrome is a complication of shingles that occurs when an outbreak affects the facial nerve near one ear. The Mayo Clinic website also states: "In addition to the painful shingles rash, Ramsay Hunt syndrome can cause facial paralysis and hearing loss in the affected ear."

In one of his posts, Justin explained and demonstrated that he is suffering from Ramsay Hunt syndrome, a rare virus that affects the nerves in the face and can cause facial paralysis.

Justin said: "As if to prove that he is really sick, Justin makes it quite clear in the video: "As you can see, this eye is not blinking. I can't smile on this face. This nostril will not move. I was completely paralyzed on one side of my face."

"So for those of you who are frustrated by my canceling the next concert, I'm just the one who can't do it. This is pretty serious. You can see.

Bieber added that he will use this time to "rest, relax, and get 100% back". The male singer also said that he is doing facial exercises to help "my face return to normal, it will return to normal."
