On illegal betting sites, the music video (MV) views of female singer Jisoo (BlackPink) were turned into a black-and-red match in the form of "failure", attracting many participants.
Not only betting on match results of famous sports tournaments, illegal betting sites in Vietnam also use views and likes of artists' music videos (MVs) for players to bet.
The launch event of the new MV of Jisoo (BlackPink) on March 31 has attracted a lot of attention from fans. On betting sites, the views of this MV are turned into a red and black game for players to bet.
Accessing the link of a betting page, a series of money bets in the form of "over and under" disguised under the name of "predicting the number of official MV views in 24 hours" were actively participated. This is even one of the "special bets" featured by the site due to its many users.
Players must deposit a required amount into the app. Then predict the MV of Jisoo (BlackPink) to gain over 55 million views within 24 hours. The interface of these unauthorized betting sites uses completely Vietnamese, showing the purpose of targeting users with betting needs in Vietnam.
This is not the first time this betting site has used the singer's image and MV to make illegal bets. Before that, users also spread bets related to music award ceremonies or film festivals created by this site.
While the eldest sister Jisoo was being used for her image, Lisa also faced a crisis when a unit publicly insulted the youngest member of BLACKPINK.
Accordingly, BLACKPINK recently had the 2nd Born Pink concert in Manila, Philippines. This is also a very special performance day when the birthday of the youngest BLACKPINK - Lisa is approaching (March 27). Therefore, Lisa's fan community has prepared many different projects to celebrate the idol's birthday such as cake, "golden sea" lightstick in solo performance or birthday banner...
However, the international fan community was very upset when a series of happy birthday banners for Lisa prepared by fans were confiscated by the organizers of the concert and not allowed to be brought in. Even on Twitter, the image of a series of happy birthday banners scattered on the ground also aroused many criticisms.
On the social network Twitter, many angry posts about Lisa's banner being confiscated and not allowed to be brought into the concert: "(Translation) I hate to post this but it really hurts. Many people have confirmed her banner. Lisa was confiscated and could not be brought into the stadium. Why? Is it a personal vendetta or something?".
Or another post expressed the question that at other concerts, happy birthday banners for the remaining 3 members of BLACKPINK were brought into the concert, but Lisa in the Philippines was not:
"(Translated): Concert organizers in other countries all allow birthday banners for 3 members. Why can't you allow it when today will be celebrating Lisa's birthday on stage" ; "We will never accept this action. The organizers are so bad."
Underneath the post of Live Nation PH - the official Twitter account of the Born Pink concert organizers in the Philippines, the international fan community also flooded in comments with indignant content, "(Translation) It's embarrassing. There's no need to confiscate the happy birthday banner. Happy birthday banners for the other members were fine in previous concerts. Why is that?".
After the information was shared, the fan community of BLACKPINK in general and Lisa's fans in particular were upset because of the work of the concert organizer Born Pink in the Philippines. However, after that, many people also handed out a notice supposedly from the BTC representative speaking out about why not to bring Lisa's own banner into the stadium:
"(Translation): To inform you, the 2nd day banner for OT4 and Lisa's birthday was rejected for the following reason: The 2nd day banner cannot be accepted for the sake of fairness to all 4 artists. Any anything with the artist's face on is not acceptable as it is likely to be thrown away or stepped on. This will upset the artists and staff."
In the midst of a wave of controversy, Lisa recently continued to receive sad news. Specifically, she was broken by Jungkook (BTS) on Spotify.
According to Spotify's latest report, Jungkook has become the fastest K-pop solo artist to reach 1 billion streams on the music streaming platform, surpassing BLACKPINK's Lisa, who held the previous record. Both Jungkook and Lisa hit this record with three original songs. Lisa achieved this feat with her two solo songs Money, Lalisa and the single SG . Jungkook achieved this feat with three songs Stay Alive, Dreamers and the single Left & Right featuring Charlie Puth. Accordingly, to achieve this milestone Lisa took 411 days, while Jungkook only needed 409 days.
