Regarding the shocking case of "Ngan 98 being arrested", the Ho Chi Minh City Police Investigation Agency (Economic Police Department - PC03) has officially issued a decision to prosecute the criminal case, prosecute the accused and temporarily detain Vo Thi Ngoc Ngan (born in 1998), known by the nickname Ngan 98, to investigate the crime of "Producing and trading in counterfeit food products" according to the provisions of the Penal Code.

Ngan 98 is the operator of ZuBu Shop Business Household, which is believed to be directly involved in the production and trading of functional food and cosmetic products of unknown origin, suspected of counterfeiting many famous brands.

Authorities have searched the luxury apartment of Ngan 98 and her husband, Luong Bang Quang (born 1983, singer and musician), located in Cat Lai ward, Thu Duc city, Ho Chi Minh city.

According to records, the apartment is about 300 square meters wide, located on the top floor of a luxury apartment building, with a direct view of the Saigon River and the city center. The interior is luxuriously designed, divided into many rooms with different functions, including a separate room containing hundreds of Ngan 98's and her husband's performance costumes, along with a large glass cabinet displaying teddy bears, designer handbags and YouTube gold buttons.

At the scene, the investigation force seized 80 red books, more than 8,000 USD in cash, 4 bank savings books and some related evidence, and temporarily detained 2 cars believed to be the property of the couple.

One notable detail is the video recording Luong Bang Quang taking a photo with the evidence, in which he appeared calm, even smiling slightly while holding the red books and cash - the image quickly spread on social networks, attracting tens of thousands of comments.

Sources from the investigation agency said that Luong Bang Quang was also invited to work to clarify his connection to the case and the origin of the assets discovered during the search.

During the inspection of each room, the authorities discovered a large safe in a private room, however, Ngan 98 and her family could not provide the code to open the safe.

According to regulations, PC03 and the Ho Chi Minh City People's Procuracy have drawn up a record, sealed the safe and brought it back to the headquarters to open it in accordance with legal procedures. Currently, the investigation agency is clarifying the origin of the seized assets and documents, and comparing it with ZuBu's financial and transaction records.

The search lasted for several hours, as the apartment had many rooms and contained a large amount of furniture and electronic equipment used for the couple’s music production. All data, machines, documents and specimens were sealed for examination and investigation.

Before being detained, Ngan 98 was summoned by the investigating agency many times but did not comply. According to information from the Ho Chi Minh City Police, the suspect showed signs of delay, resistance and gave evasive statements, causing difficulties for the investigation process.

The police agency affirmed that the prosecution and temporary detention are necessary measures to prevent the accused from continuing to violate, dissipating assets or obstructing the proceedings.
