The heartbreaking moment when Miss Ngoc Chau bid farewell to "Mrs. Bay" in her last moments, before returning to her motherland. She hugged the portrait tightly, no longer crying because she had no more tears, silently with lifeless eyes, there was no greater pain.
On the morning of August 15, the coffin of Ms. Dang Thi Gai - Miss Ngoc Chau's mother was taken to the cemetery in Tay Ninh for burial. In the past few days, close friends, partners, and colleagues of Ngoc Chau have been present in Tay Ninh to burn incense for the deceased as well as send condolences and encouragement to the family. Facing the biggest event of her life, Ngoc Chau was shocked and cried a lot, H'Hen Nie came to her side to share her sadness and help her close friend arrange the funeral.
Recently, Kim Duyen sadly shared the image of Ngoc Chau bowing her head, silently when the coffin of "Mother Bay" was buried. For a few moments, she turned away to wipe away her tears, her eyes lingeringly looking at her mother's portrait, making everyone who saw it choke up. Not only family and neighbors, but this morning many of Ngoc Chau's friends such as Mau Thuy, Le Hang, Thuy Tien, Hoang Nhung, Kim Duyen... were also present to bid farewell to "Mother Bay" to her final resting place. Fans told Ngoc Chau to quickly regain her spirit, to be strong and move on so that her mother can leave in peace.
After visiting Ngoc Chau's mother, Khanh Van confided: "I got home at 4:30 a.m. but I was still awake and couldn't sleep. My heart was restless with thoughts, and surfing the videos online made me even sadder. I just hope that in the days to come, my beloved sister will only receive the sweetest and best things. Dear sister, please go gently and peacefully. Everyone loves you very much and also loves Chau very much."
Runner-up Kim Duyen also expressed her sorrow at the passing of Ngoc Chau's mother: "I feel so sorry for my uncle's passing. I feel so sorry for my sister who is left behind. I hold her in my arms and just want to share a little of this pain and loss. She cried until her eyes were red and swollen, I feel so sorry for her."
In addition to those who came to pay their respects in person, many Vietnamese stars also sent letters to Ngoc Chau. Runner-up Hoang My shared: "You are not my biological mother, and I have not had much contact with you in real life, but when I heard the news of your sudden passing, I was so heartbroken and shocked... Because you gave me the feeling of a gentle, kind, benevolent and warm mother just through your image and stories, with your pure simplicity.
I am happy for Chau because she has a mother, and heartbroken for the children who have just lost their mother, a great loss for us when we can no longer see our mother's image. We know that no one in life can escape the two words 'impermanence', but this pain is so painful. I think of my mother, I look at my daughter. There is no greater pain and loss than not having a mother in this world. I believe that from above, my mother will always watch over and protect my siblings. Thank you for coming to us."
Ngoc Chau was born into an ordinary family in the countryside. Her father passed away when she was 5 years old, her brother was 10 months old and her sister was 10 years old. For all those years, Ngoc Chau's mother worked alone, took care of and raised her children. She used to grow sugarcane, but then due to losses, she switched to renting land to grow cassava and rubber to earn enough money to raise her 3 children.
Ngoc Chau once said about her mother: "My mother is a great support for me to try and strive. Whenever I feel pressured and don't know what to do, I pick up the phone and call my mother. For me, the most meaningful moment is the anniversary of my father's death, when I get to gather with my siblings and mother. My father passed away early, and I witnessed every moment of how hard my mother worked. I told myself that I had to succeed to take care of my mother. The greatest lesson my mother gave me was to live a kind life and have dreams."
The last time she mentioned her mother, she expressed her greatest wish: "Now Chau only cares about her mother's health the most. I want to be able to care for and look after her more."
