Ho Van Cuong after 4 years of Phi Nhung's departure, the audience is "shocked" by his current life

Four years after Phi Nhung's death, Ho Van Cuong is still a name that receives a lot of attention from the audience, continues to pursue his passion for singing and gradually affirms his own position in showbiz.

During her lifetime, the late singer Phi Nhung was not only loved for her sweet voice but also for her kind heart when she carried 23 adopted children, including 4 who followed the artistic path. When she died of COVID-19 in 2021, the audience was extremely mourning and worried about the future of her children, especially Ho Van Cuong, whom she loved and supported the most in music.

Ho Van Cuong was born in 2003 in Tien Giang, known for winning the champion of Vietnam Idol Kids 2016. His sweet and rustic voice helped the boy win the affection of a large audience. After the contest, Phi Nhung adopted Cuong and brought him to Ho Chi Minh City. Ho Chi Minh City lives and is directly oriented to the lyrical music of their homeland. Under the guidance of his adoptive mother, Ho Van Cuong had the opportunity to stand on many large and small stages and gradually assert himself in showbiz.

In October 2021, a month after Phi Nhung's death, Ho Van Cuong officially separated from the company and started an independent life. During this period, he faced a lot of pressure and noise, but still chose to be silent, focus on studying and training. In early 2022, singer Ngoc Son and Bau Thuy announced their sponsorship and support Ho Van Cuong on the artistic path, helping him gradually regain his spirit and have a clearer direction for his career.

In the past 4 years, Ho Van Cuong has still diligently pursued singing. He regularly performs at tea rooms and large and small events across the country with an average frequency of 2–3 shows per month. Despite his busy schedule, he still maintains the habit of practicing vocals and learning more performance skills. The male singer always chooses a gentle and deep performance style, loyal to the lyrical folk music associated with his name.

The gradual stable career also entailed strong affection from fans. During concerts, Ho Van Cuong is often given flowers, gifts, and even bouquets of flowers made of money or gold by the audience. Many fans from far away, including overseas Vietnamese, still send letters and gifts of moral encouragement, showing their love for the young male singer.

Currently, Ho Van Cuong's life is more balanced. Besides singing, he still maintains his college education and is expected to graduate next year. The male singer said that he is studying marketing to gain more knowledge for his future work. "My life is currently fine. In addition to singing, I still go to school and am completing my final subjects. Hopefully next year we can graduate as planned," he shared.

At the age of 22, Ho Van Cuong said that he bought his own house, making his dream come true. Currently, he is financially independent, able to take care of himself and his parents. The male singer considers it a responsibility and pride, not a burden. "I'm happy that at this age I can take care of my family, which is what makes me feel more mature," he confided.

From a poor boy who loves to sing folk songs, Ho Van Cuong has now become a brave, independent and promising young singer. With his perseverance and passion for music, he is gradually asserting his own position, following the wish of his adoptive mother Phi Nhung – bringing his sincere and rustic singing voice closer to the audience who love Vietnamese music.
