Born into a poor Ede family in Dak Lak, H'Hen's childhood was spent in remote villages and in school under poor conditions. Access to books and knowledge was once a luxury. But it was the dream of education that became the guiding light for the journey of this ethnic minority girl.

Starting in 2018, H'Hen Nie has joined Room To Read to build 11 libraries in provinces such as Lam Dong, Ha Giang, Lai Chau, Dak Lak, Gia Lai, An Giang and the old Ninh Thuan. These libraries not only ensure facilities but are also creatively and intimately arranged, with a system of books selected to suit the regional culture and age of students.

From September 2024 to June 2025 alone, that journey was extended with 4 new libraries - a strong step forward in both scale and depth. Specifically, in September 2024, H'Hen returned to the sunny sandy land of Ninh Thuan to open the 8th and 9th libraries at My Nhon Primary School and Vo Thi Sau Primary - Secondary School, Ninh Thuan province (now Khanh Hoa province). Less than a month later, she continued to travel to Bay Nui area, An Giang province, bringing the next two libraries (No. 10 and 11) to A O Lam Primary School and D An Cu Primary School, turning small classrooms on the border into open spaces for knowledge.

Entering 2025, the volunteering pace has not slowed down. In March, the 12th library lit up in the yard of Bau Phung Primary School, Dong Nai Province, marking the first time the project spread to the Southeast region. In May, within a few weeks, the 13th library appeared at Ea Tir Primary School, Dak Lak Province, and then the last two libraries - No. 14 and 15 - simultaneously opened at Van Tung Primary School and Tran Phu Primary School, Bac Kan Province (now Thai Nguyen Province).
