Coming from a country as far away as Ukraine, there are big cultural differences, but this girl got used to the job very quickly and integrated into the life of her husband's family in Vietnam.
Mr. Trinh Dinh Quyen (38 years old, from Thanh Hoa) came to the country of "bread basket of Europe" - Ukraine to work as a welder since 2008. The original purpose was just to work hard to earn a living, but Quyen did not expect luck to push him to meet the beautiful Stadnyk Elizabeth (30 years old, Ukrainian). This was also the turning point that changed his life dramatically after that.
Elizabeth, affectionately named Liza, has blonde hair and sparkling blue eyes. Talking about his relationship with his wife, Quyen happily shared: "In 2010, while out in Odessa with a group of friends, I met Liza. Liza was in 12th grade at the time. Seeing that Liza was innocent, lovely, cheerful and sociable, I asked for information to get acquainted.
When I went there to work, I never thought I would fall in love and marry someone here, but when I met Liza, talked to her, everything changed. I don't know when I fell in love with her."
On Liza's side, the impression of Quyen when she first met was gentle, smiling, likeable, thoughtful and always gave her a warm feeling. When he came home to see Liza's parents in Dnipro City, Quyen also performed very well. "My parents praised Quyen for being gentle, polite, treating everyone around him very sincerely, so they supported her to come to the person she loved," Liza said.
Having known each other for 1 year, Mr. Quyen's family also knew that his son loved and planned to marry a Ukrainian girl, at that time, Mrs. Ma Thi La - Mr. Quyen's mother could not help but worry. But after many interactions and conversations, she realized that Liza always gave her son sincere affection, so she gradually agreed and blessed them.
While other couples will face many difficulties due to language and cultural differences, Quyen and Liza are different. He was wholeheartedly supported and guided by his girlfriend throughout his work and learning about Ukrainian culture.
In 2011, Quyen and Liza welcomed their first son, naming him Trinh Dinh Kim. Half a year later, Quyen and his wife had a small, cozy wedding in Odessa, Ukraine. The joy was doubled when in 2021, the young couple welcomed a new member, a lovely, lovely daughter, named Zheng Li A.
For years, the family lived in a small house in Odessa, Ukraine. Quyen worked at the mechanic's workshop every day, while Liza worked as a clothing salesman at the market, and her first son worked hard at class. It seemed that this simple life would always go on, but then the incident in Ukraine inspired his family to decide to return to Vietnam.
At that time, the couple's possessions were just a stroller and some clothes. When the plane landed at Noi Bai airport, Mr. Quyen was relieved, feeling that he was still a lucky person when he peacefully arrived at his hometown. As for Liza, this is the first time she has returned to her husband's house after 10 years of marriage, so there are many surprises.
Some time later, whenever she called her parents in Ukraine, Liza boasted that living in Vietnam was very peaceful but she still did not quench her nostalgia for home. The new bride also has a lot of trouble adjusting to her husband's life and culture.
According to Ms. La, at first, her daughter-in-law did not understand much about Vietnamese culture, afraid of many things such as shrimp, crab and raw fish,... however, she persisted in teaching. Realizing that Vietnamese cuisine is very rich, Liza is determined to practice cooking skills, conquering her mother-in-law with delicious dishes made by herself. On holidays, Tet, Liza picks vegetables, makes cakes, cooks rice trays to offer to grandparents and ancestors. This is something that not every native girl can do.
Liza shared: "I did not have many difficulties when learning and adjusting to my new life in Vietnam because of the support of my husband's family." When Liza misses her hometown, she and her husband make Ukrainian food together that she likes.
For more than 1 year now, Liza has gained new joy by recording videos on Tiktok to entertain and save the family's memories. But unknowingly, Liza's above videos received the love of the online community.
Currently, Liza's Tiktok channel has more than 239,000 followers and over 5 million likes. Since then, there have been many cooperative brands, Liza sells adult clothes, children's clothes, bags, backpacks on TikTok to earn extra income for her family.
