JKN’s creditors have voted to appoint Grant Thornton, the global audit and financial advisory group, as the court-supervised restructuring plan’s lead agency, according to the announcement. This means that Anne and Rocha will no longer have executive control, while Grant Thornton and the creditors will oversee the entire management and financial operations of the company.

The Miss Universe brand is still considered a core asset of the group, but will soon be placed under more professional and transparent management, aiming for stability and long-term development. The Thai court is expected to officially approve this decision in November, marking a new phase of more transparency and efficiency in brand management.

Anne’s replacement is Mario Bucaro, a seasoned diplomat who has served as Vice President of International Relations for the Miss Universe Organization since early 2024, bringing a strong background in diplomacy and organizational leadership.

Prior to that, Mr. Bucaro served as Guatemala's Ambassador to Israel and Mexico, and concurrently in Bulgaria and Cyprus. Most recently, he served as Guatemala's Foreign Minister, earning a reputation for his ability to resolve conflicts, promote multilateral cooperation, and defend national interests on the international stage.
