This morning on January 16 (Vietnam time), MC Jimmy Nhut Ha said he received information about the death of singer Le Thu from her daughter Tu. Le Thu passed away at 19:00 on January 15 after a critical time while being treated for COVID-19. Singer Quang Thanh, manager of singer Khanh Ly, also confirmed the above information.

Specifically, Jimmy Nhut Ha shared: "The singer Le Thu was called by God at 7:00 pm, January 15, 2021. Let's pray together for Cecilia Le Thu's soul to rest in love. Previously, singer Le Thu was hospitalized at Memorial Coast (California, USA) for more than 3 weeks due to Covid-19 infection. She showed symptoms of cough and fever and was isolated immediately after entering the hospital for examination. The test results showed that she was positive for SARS-CoV-2.

After 3 weeks of treatment in the intensive care unit (ICU), singer Le Thu's health improved positively, and was about to be discharged when suddenly it got worse. She had to be on a ventilator, complicated treatment because of her high blood sugar. Family, friends, artists in the US are still praying for her.
