Da LAB: 17 years of conquering the Vietnamese music industry, owning countless million-view hits

Founded in 2007, up to now, Da LAB has been operating for nearly 17 years and has experienced many ups and downs, the group has affirmed its position in the Vietnamese music industry with its unique music style and million-view hits.

Da LAB currently has 4 members representing 4 inseparable pieces, including: Mpakk, JGKiD (Quach Van Thom), Rabbit Run and Thin (Emcee L). They represent their own values as well as different musical colors to create a perfect portrait for the group.

Coming from students who are passionate about music, Da LAB always has in mind that music is a place where they can share their deepest thoughts and feelings. Therefore, Da LAB's music is always imbued with the mark of "life", close to the actual experiences of young people, combined with the typical voices of the members, creating hits that easily touch the hearts of the audience.

In the midst of Vietnam's vibrant and constantly changing music market, Da LAB still maintains a distinct music style, creating quality music products, suitable for the tastes of a large audience. The group's music is a harmonious combination of Hip hop, R&B and Pop, with deep lyrics, meaning about love, life and youth.

As a result, Da LAB has achieved great success with a series of million-view hits such as: "One House", "Thanh Xuan", "Skyline", "From the Day I Arrived", "Put aside worries", "My tears wipe with new love", "Love must be told", "Run away from this world", "The end begins".

In addition to his musical talent, Da LAB also conquered the audience with his humorous, muddy personality and "playable" interactions in TV shows, gameshow and other entertainment activities. The group's own Youtube channel with more than 1.5 million subscribers is also where Da LAB regularly shares everyday moments and the latest music products, attracting attention and love from fans.

With relentless efforts, distinct musical personalities and the spirit of dedication, Da LAB has affirmed its position in the Vietnamese music industry and become one of the most popular groups today.

Before Da LAB's establishment, Tran Minh Phuong – also known by his stage name Cao Kão – soon showed a strong passion for music. Not only possessing natural rapping talent, Cao Cao is also a hard fan of the legendary group Yellow Skin. Da Gold's music inspired Cao Cao to pursue his artistic path and shaped his musical style later on.

Participating in underground music activities is an important stepping stone to help Cao Cao hone his skills and gain experience. He learned from previous generations, honed his ability to compose, rap and express himself on stage. These experiences have helped him mature and ready for the journey to conquer new heights in music.

These qualities make it easy for him to connect with people and build good relationships in the music community.

Quach Van Thom, better known by his stage name JGKid, is the second member of the boy band Da LAB. Born in 1989 in Hanoi, JGKid brings to Da LAB a source of playful, vibrant energy and diverse musical abilities.

Having studied at the Academy of Journalism and Propaganda, JGKid chose to pursue music and achieved much success. He is known as the "comedian" of Da LAB because of his humorous, witty personality, always bringing laughter to everyone around. However, behind that cheerful exterior is a JGKid full of talent and enthusiasm for music.

In addition, JGKid is also considered a pioneer in bringing Reggae street music - a music genre originating from Jamaica - to Vietnam. With impressive songwriting and rapping skills, JGKid has contributed to spreading the love for Reggae to a large number of young audiences.

Unlike the rest of the group, Nguyen Trong Duc, born in 1987 in Hanoi, also known by his stage name Rabbit / Rabbit Run, is the third vocalist of Da LAB.

After graduating from National Economics University, he did not follow his major, he decided to pursue music and achieved a lot of success with Da LAB and with personal songs such as "Sow Quoc", "Love", "My tears wipe with new love" ... However, Rabbit's songs give Da LAB a quiet touch, but still exude the essence of the song and the impressive lyrics.

Although not as lively and animated as other members of the group, Anh is often commented as a quiet person, rarely expressing emotions outwardly, but Rabbit has always been an important piece of Da LAB, contributing to the diversity of the group's music and an inspiration for many young people who love rap and hip hop. In addition to his musical activities, he is also the owner of a café called "Cafe Freedom" in Hanoi.

Member Thin/Emcee L's real name is Nguyen Hoang Long, born in 1989, originally from Hanoi. He joined Da LAB in January 2018. Although he joined 10 years later than other members, he had previously commented on lyrics, beats or performance styles for other members in many music products with many songs that impressed the audience such as: Poison, Just Number Two, ...

In addition to music, Thin is also a successful businessman. He is the owner of a street fashion brand and a café in Hanoi.
