In a conversation with reporters, artist Binh Tinh said that since Meritorious Artist Kim Tieu Long adopted Tieu Ly, the male artist often brought Tieu Ly along to events. Because Binh Tinh and Kim Tieu Long were close, they often met. She also had more opportunities to interact with Tieu Ly.

"At first, Ly only called me Aunt Ut, but gradually she called me Mother Ut. Every time she saw me, Ly always hugged me tightly and loved me very much. Artist Binh Tinh said she met Tieu Ly when she had not yet accepted artist Kim Tieu Long as her father. "I sang a few times in Vinh Long and met Ly. We both had good impressions of each other," she said.
