I was active in the same period with the famous singer Bao Yen - Nha Phuong. Actually, at first I didn't sing but became an actor. I went to the same School of Theater and Cinema with Thuy Nga, studied with Ms. Kim Chi. many famous veteran artists.

I started studying Theater at the ag.e of 15 but dropped out of school at the ag.e of 16. Since I was in that school, I have been studying vocal music. When I left school, I continued to take another vocal class.

When I was in the Theater School, I went to a literary contest with artist Minh Hai and won the second prize. The teacher saw that and took me to singing school. One time, the player gave her a break, so she asked me to learn to play the piano for her. So I went to learn to play musical instruments, studied with dozens of teachers.

After that, I went to another music contest, won a gold medal on the men's side and 500 thousand in prize mone.y. This amount was very large at that time. After that, I was put in to be the Hea.d of the Literature Department of the school.

At that time, I was very fond of musician Tran Tien, so when I went to the contest, I only chose musician Tran Tien's music to sing. I chose a song by musician Tran Tien that few people sing, The Country Guitar. This song is very difficult to sing and it is a mark of my life.

After that, I was given music by musician Thanh Tung to sing. I sang without thinking about anything, who would have thought it would become a hit song for several years."

Chung Tu Luu is known for his impressive achievements when he won 2 gold medals in 2 spring solo competitions in 1982 in Saigon, when he was only 18 years old. This success has helped him build a great reputation in the Vietnamese music industry.

After that, he was lucky to meet a famous musician who dedicated to guiding him along the path of an artist. That is musician Ly Duoc, a familiar face in the artist world, he is currently still in Vietnam as a bass user in the band he founded and is currently collaborating with Queen Bee discotheque.

Realizing that Chung Tu Luu has a good voice with many prospects, Ly Duong has worked hard to support Chung Tu Luu so that until now Chung Tu Luu has begun to be known by many people, especially with the song "John Cau". Chung Tu Luu presents many different genres of music except Rap music. In addition to Giang Cau, his favorite songs are "Bitter Coffee", "Tears for Lovers", "The Old Way I Go", "Thank You" and "It". etc. The first song he performed in front of the audience when he was in Vietnam was titled "Song of Not Yet Written Lyrics" when he collaborated with the Saigon Television troupe, right after that time he was invited to sign a 2-year contract with the television station.

When he first settled in the US for a short time, Chung Ziliu, in addition to some US states, was invited to perform in many places such as: Australia, Germany, Canada, Russia.... And according to him, the tour in Russia in '92 was considered the most successful.

With talent and experience in the entertainment industry, he has served as a judge in many popular music competitions such as "Listen to Me Sing", "Love Storyteller", "Sao Succession to the Throne",...
