Despite his disability in both legs, Ghanim does not want to use a wheelchair and often tries to move around on his own, trying to move with two hands. Ghanim al Muftah's mother, Ahmad, received a lot of advice to give up her child, saying it would help Ahmad's family avoid further suffering. However, when Ghanim's mother decided to give birth to him, she was confident that she would raise and be with her child at all times. Speaking to The Epoch Times, Ahmad said: "I will be my left foot and my husband will be my right foot."
With his efforts from childhood to adulthood, Ghanim has helped people get used to his special body. He became a phenomenon on social media with over 3 million followers across platforms. Ghanim wanted to show everyone how complete and worthwhile the life of a person without legs can be.
He once said: "The moment that meant so much to me was seeing my dear parents proud of me and my achievements. Moments like these are a great source of motivation for me, encouraging me to keep going and do my best to see the sparkle in their eyes."
With his own strength and the support of his parents, Ghanim has overcome countless challenges.
In addition, Ghanim asserts that, thanks to his condition, he has learned to stick to all wishes. "People say, 'what doesn't kill you will make you stronger' and my health condition has made me a strong person and revealed all the strengths of my character," Ghanim said.
Currently, Ghanim is a university student, majoring in Political Science with the desire to become a diplomat and further prime minister of Qatar in the future. Previously, he was the face of the Qatar Financial Centre Authority. In 2014, he was also honored as an ambassador of peace by the late King of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.
In addition to studying, Ghanim also has his own business, specializing in ice cream production with 6 branches in Qatar, he is looking to expand his business and expand the system in other countries of the Gulf region.
