After two years at Vassar College in New York, he dropped out to enroll at the Culinary Institute of America and graduated in 1987. Bourdain spent several years working in restaurants in the northeast of the United States, before becoming a Chef of Brasseries Les Halles restaurant in Manhattan in 1998. Ariane Bourdain is the first and only child of a famous chef. By the time Ariane was born, Bourdain was over 50 years old. Bourdain is considered a father who loves his children and is close to his daughter. Ariane is now 11 years old and lives with her mother in New York City. Bourdain and his ex-wife Busia always try to protect their children from fame and excessive media attention. Unexpected death at the age of 61
