Alexandr Wang, tech entrepreneur and CEO founder of Scale AI, recently made global headlines by becoming the world's youngest self-made billionaire at the age of 25.

Alexandr Wang dropped out of college to start a company

Alexandr Wang met co-founder Lucy Guo while both working at Quora.

Wang began her bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Computer Science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (aka MIT). In the summer after completing his freshman year at a prestigious New England university, he started Scale with Lucy Guo, a young tech friend.

According to Forbes, the two co-founders met while both working at the question-and-answer platform Quora. The business duo started their business with capital from the US startup support company Y Combinator.

At the start of Scale, Wang told Forbes: " I told my parents that this was just something I did over the summer... Obviously, I never went back to school."

Alexandr Wang owns a net worth of 1 billion US dollars

Alexandr Wang quit MIT for success reasons after succeeding with his AI-based business and he is now generating US$100 million in revenue.

Last year, Wang's company received an investment grant of about $350 million. This financial backing, coupled with the fact that Scale reached $100 million in sales, valued the young entrepreneur's company at $7.3 billion.

This young billionaire's prowess in science and technology is probably due in part to his family background. Growing up in New Mexico, Wang's parents were both physicists working on projects for the US military, according to Prestige.

Apparently, Alexandr Wang had inherited a strong mind, Wang regularly participating in math and coding competitions at school. By age 17, when most high schoolers were likely preparing for the journey to college and beyond, Wang was coding full-time for Quora.
