Who is A1J, the famous Taiwanese rapper who has just debuted in the Vietnamese music scene?

Although he has made a big splash in Taiwan with many "cool" Vietnamese rap songs, with this debut in the Vietnamese market, A1J has left a good impression with three new compositions written with many Vietnamese lyrics.

Along with that is a profound, thoughtful story of a chil.d between two lands, Vietnam and Taiwan, through the eyes of a young Gen Z person. The name EP SGN-TPE is the code name of the two airports Tan Son Nhat - Taipei, where A1J lands every time she returns home with her family in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam and Taiwan.

"I think that as a young generation growing up among different cultures and being loved by people from familiar to too random, I am filled with more love for the lands and bloo.d flowing inside me.

A1J got her start in the arts with a rap composition in Vietnamese and Yunnan in 2021. This rap later helped her win the championship in an MTV competition in Taiwan.

After two albums and collaborations covering Taiwan in Vietnamese, A1J officially "released" a new EP in the Vietnamese market, with messages revolving around her very Vietnamese thoughts and stories.

Affirming that every path is full of thorns, the female rapper born in 1999 said that she always holds her head high as a "Saigonese" - an arrogan.t Saigonese in Taiwan.

The female rapper was inspired by the songs of Suboi - a famous person with a series of compositions with strong Saigon street style in Vietnam. The EP's visual concept is also built on the subtle combination of Taiwanese and Vietnamese culinary culture, with images and symbols imbued with the traditions of both lands.

From the costumes to the design style undertaken by the young team, each element represents a unique blend, creating a work of art that is not only eye-catchin.g but also profound in meaning.

A1J, real name Tao Yi Jiun, is a rapper of mixed Vietnamese and Taiwanese descent. She was born and raised in Vietnam, but moved to Taiwan at the ag.e of 11. After 13 years, A1J is currently active in Taiwan as an indie artist.

Her family was surprised because they thought she had no singing ability, and A1J proved otherwise with her talent for writing lyrics and rapping skillfully, approaching the standards of international rap.

She continued to participate in projects such as MV *ă19;大黑音Cypher《正é83;標記》(ISO 9000), Jungle Voice, Taiwanese gir.l group audition program *DD52 in 2020, before reaching a resounding victory in the program Good Bike Mob. After this victory, A1J began to become an impressive female rapper in the new generation of Taiwanese T-Pop.

In 2021, in the MTV mother tongue rap songwriting competition in Taiwan, a rap song composed in Vietnamese and Yunnan won the championship of the program.

"Belongingness" - a product written entirely by A1J, accompanied by close friend Vuong Thuy Nguyen, has brought Vietnamese sounds closer to rap fans in Taiwan.

Up to now, despite being young, A1J has become a rare name appearing in many products of famous artists and rappers in the T-Pop world in Taiwan, which has always been a battlefield for male rappers.

She has a whole "collection" of songs in many commercials such as ATOM BOYZ's MV Touch Me, the promotional video for the Taiwan Tourism Department in Japan. A1J's new EP SGN-TPE is considered a breakthrough for the female rapper from her production ability, rap thinking to writing lyrics.

No longer a young gir.l with sweet or rough stories typical of rap/hiphop, A1J writes about new aspects of love and society, with maturity in flow, songwriting, and word choice.

Not only composed in Mandarin, A1J's songs are sometimes also written with Vietnamese lyrics, which are extremely attractive and catchy. The themes of A1J's songs are very diverse, from small things in life to love stories and the worldview of young people. It is known that Taozi A1J started writing music in her first year at NCCU (National Chengchi University - National Political University of the Republic of China) through the hiphop club, the seniors in the club taught her all the basics of writing music and encouraged us to write music.
