Runner-up Thach Thu Thao took a bus from Can Tho to SG to attend the event and ambitions to step on the international catwalk

The ambassador of Miss Earth Vietnam 2023 does not hide his intention to pursue the path of becoming a model in the near future: "After graduating from university, I plan to follow the path of professional modeling not only domestically but also internationally...".

Taking on the position of Ambassador of Miss Earth Vietnam 2023, Thach Thu Thao appeared with an increasingly promoted beauty alongside the MEVN 2023 contestants on the casting day.

The beauty excitedly guided the contestants through the catwalks, shared her experience as a contestant and expressed her impression to this year's contestants: "I found you to be quite even in stature, not to mention that the way you talk about the environment shows that you learn a lot and have very deep experiences.

I am also nervous about who will win this year's pageant, but whoever it is I believe she is a girl of stature, wisdom, bravery and a strong love for nature and the environment."

Thach Thu Thao said that when she first experienced catwalk training for Miss Earth Vietnam 2023 contestants, she felt very refreshed and also a little pressured.

"Thao feels very happy because she can share a part of her experience to help them be more confident and well-groomed in this first part. As a frontrunner, Thao is not sure that her catwalk is the best, Thao can only stop at sharing among her peers about the experiences that Thao has gained in the past journeys and also hope to help some part of the contestants in their journey to reach the Miss crown Earth Vietnam 2023", Thach Thu Thao shared.

Thach Thu Thao shared, with actions to protect the environment, she chooses to do very small but meaningful things in daily life, such as limiting the use of single-use plastics, using more recycled items, putting garbage in the right place, participating in sharing sessions on how to live green... "My time joining the Youth Network for Environmental Action (YNet) has also changed my perception a lot in the past year...", Thach Thu Thao said.

Born in a family of 3 brothers in Tra Vinh, Thach Thu Thao is the youngest child in the family. Thach Thu Thao shared that she always feels proud when she is Khmer, which has created an interesting identity in the eyes of the audience when she appears in showbiz activities.

Currently a final year student majoring in English Language at Can Tho Southern University, Thach Thu Thao is sprinting for her studies to graduate in summer 2024.

"In the old days, I studied English Language because I wanted to become a tour guide. Because since childhood I have dreamed of going around to explore the world. But since I won the Miss Student Award of Can Tho Southern University when I was the 2nd student, I think I changed my mind to venture into showbiz.... And representing Vietnam at Miss Earth 2022 in the Philippines is also an initial achievement that I have thanks to my own efforts, plus the luck of receiving support from familiar brothers and sisters, partners ...", the beauty from Can Tho shared.

Thach Thu Thao revealed that on average every week she has to travel from Can Tho to Saigon to attend events and other activities. "Usually I travel by coach, going back and forth during the day. At first, it was quite tired and stressful, but gradually it felt normal. I always try to choose to go to events on days when there is no class schedule, or enlist teachers to let me study before other classes (or later classes with later classes), to avoid missing any classes due to the specifics of my work."

Thach Thu Thao's day in Can Tho will usually be spent studying in the morning and evening. Meanwhile, the afternoon will be spent going to the gym or gathering with some close friends.

Thach Thu Thao shared that she is not very good at cooking, so she mostly eats outside: "I like to eat broken rice ribs, percussion noodles and vegetarian food... My body is thin, I can eat most of what I like without having to abstain."

"Never rest on your laurels!" is the motto of the final year student of Can Tho Southern University. Thach Thu Thao always wants to be a better version of herself every day when she wakes up.
