In an interview in 2020, the designer shared that when he was in Vietnam, his family worked as a shampoo and hairspray manufacturer under the brand Le Lan 999.

By 1975, the whole family no longer worked and in 1981 they began to go to Germany. Up to this point, Thai Cong is completely independent in everything. Even the first car he bought was from his own money.

At the age of 15, the designer began practicing magic in all large and small shows. From parties with thousands of attendees to small parties such as birthdays and weddings, he always comes to perform. This job not only helps Thai Cong earn income to buy furniture, but also helps him achieve success with various awards.

After that, he graduated with a major in fashion design at a university in Hamburg, Germany. Holding a university degree, the designer has been working as a stylist and photographer for a long time.

When he was a stylist and photographer for fashion magazines, Thai Cong had a small room uniquely decorated and arranged, which accidentally attracted the attention of a guest in Germany. Then, instead of buying the photo, this person hired him to rearrange the furniture in the room.

Feeling satisfied with the arrangement and decoration, the guest decided to let the designer rearrange the entire house and advised him to try his hand at interior design. That is considered one of the fates that brought Thai Cong from a stylist and photographer to a designer.

Quach Thai Cong has won many awards such as: Infinity Award from the ICP Council in New York (USA); Golden Lion in Cannes (France) and Bronze Award honored by the ADC Council in Germany.
