The reason stems from the fact that the beauty Quynh Nga announced that she will terminate the right to represent Vietnam, and Unimedia unit will be the new unit looking for representatives to Miss Charm 2023. It is known that Quynh Nga has both academic achievements and a wealth of experience in Miss domestic pageants. In addition to working for VTV, she is a former student of Chu Van An High School and passed the entrance exam to the prestigious Foreign Trade University, majoring in Foreign Economics. During her time at university, Quynh Nga was very active in school movements besides maintaining good academic performance. She achieved IELTS 7.5 and attended a high-quality course taught in English at Tel Aviv University (Israel) in August 2018. Quynh Nga surpassed nearly 4,000 competitors to become one of three authors with excellent startup ideas and won a scholarship worth 6,000 USD (more than 137 million VND) in Israel. Having been a victim of body shaming, Quynh Nga spends a lot of time changing her weight. She has won many titles such as Miss Foreign Trade Talent 2015, Miss Vietnam Student 2017 and Top 10 Miss World Vietnam 2019.

The fact that a potential contestant skipped the exam has raised the question of Quynh Nga being "pinched" or some other difficult reason to say. Recently, Unimedia - the copyright holder and organization of Miss Universe Vietnam as well as the new owner of Miss Charm Vietnam has answered questions on the sidelines. CEO
Tran Viet Bao Hoang affirmed that after Quynh Nga decided to quit the Miss Charm contest, her company negotiated to win the right to send a new representative in Vietnam. This brushed off the negative publicity that affected Unimedia. CEO Bao Hoang added, Quynh Nga continues to accompany the Miss Charm Vietnam organization but in a new role. This quashed contradictory rumors, rumors that were not true earlier.

"Recently, there has been information about Unimedia signing the copyright with Miss Charm and indirectly changing the Vietnamese representative (the previously announced representative was Quynh Nga), to avoid inaccurate information, affecting the parties, Hoang would like to share:

- MCO (Miss Charm Organization) contacted and worked on MCV copyright (Miss Charm Vietnam) with Unimedia AFTER Quynh Nga's desire and decision to withdraw from the position of Vietnam representative due to personal reasons. This Hoang checked carefully before proceeding with the copyright signing.

- MCO herself, Ms. Thuy Nga in the conversation shared that MCO also regretted this decision of Quynh Nga. More than anyone else, Ms. Nga has great affection and understands Quynh Nga's efforts in the past 3 years, but everyone respects Quynh Nga's personal plans and final decisions.

- Quynh Nga's reasons are personal intentions and cannot be announced about this because of the need to arrange the sides. The sharing and the timing of sharing Nga and I both respect Quynh Nga's decision.

- Earlier, the organizers expected Russia not to share in the press conference to keep focus on the restart of the competition. But I support Nga sharing because I don't want you to just announce via 1 status or video, Quynh Nga deserves a moment on stage to share about her decision. Also to avoid the signing taking place first and Russia announcing its withdrawal later will lead to unnecessary misunderstandings for many sides.
