JGKiD: The rapper has a fairytale love story, the "material" that writes "When we go home..."

Beloved since the song "One House", Vo Viet Phuong (nicknamed Thom) and the members of Da LAB are always mentioned for the songs "speaking for the confidant of a young generation".

JGKiD's real name is Vo Viet Phuong, in addition, he is also known by his familiar name Thom. Phuong is one of the pieces of the rap group Da Lab formed in 2007 with 2 members Rabbit Run (Nguyen Trong Duc), MPaKK (Tran Minh Phuong). Unlike most viewers think, Phuong graduated from the Academy of Journalism and Communication.

Da Lab's music focuses on social issues such as the apathy of modern people or the feeling of suffocation and stalemate that young people face, depicting life "sad, happy, right, wrong", realistically depicting happiness and peace in the home, ... This is the reason why Da LAB stands out among rap groups of the time.

"Our music is inherently special. Thom ( rapper JGKid's personal name) took over the chorus very well, so the other two members were free to express their thoughts," Da LAB shared.

JGKid is known as a talented rapper with good lyrics, a rare artist who pursues unique reggae music.

With no formal training in music, Da LAB often buys beats and composes lyrics and performs songs in his own way. This is both a drawback and an advantage of the group in particular as well as many other underground artists.

"Amateur songwriters will have a hard time expressing their songs. But they have elements that we rarely see in professional, skilled vocalists. It is new, close, easy to create attraction", musician Huy Tuan shared when nominating Da LAB's song Hanoi now in the Vietnamese Song program.

Vo Viet Phuong and his wife, Bien Thuy Linh, attended the same school but never spoke to each other until their final year of university. Linh used to be the lover of Phuong's best friend, and the two found each other when they were both in a period of relief after ending a brief love affair before.

During this time, Fang and Linh talked a lot: "Sometimes I feel like Bien Linh is the only girl in the world that I talk to." Because the more you talk, the more you feel fit, the more naturally you share.

Like the group's other songs, One House is inspired by the real emotions of the author's own daily life, from school, work to getting married.

Viet Phuong always affirmed that couples of the same age come together through charm, enjoy simple happiness very often and will always sympathize and share in life. Sharing his view of happiness, the underground artist expressed: "Many older brothers and sisters and friends have also told me about happiness after marriage, encouraging yes, threatening a lot.

I was also confused and worried, but when we got married, we saw that everything was not "scary". I like to take Linh to work, now married and considered to be able to fulfill my wish "not to go far to pick up". Our happiness is as simple as that."

For underground artists, being able to follow their passions, be on stage and have loved ones watching and supporting them is the best thing. And it seems that Vo Viet Phuong is such a lucky person, having met a psychological, sympathetic partner with his work and passion.

"I don't need my wife to be a fan or be involved in making music. During the 6 years of youth walking together, I still sing, still rap, from unknown to unknown, to now some people know, Linh is still there, "the rear for my dream".
