Not following the trend of market music, Huyen Chi - a young female artist from Ha Tinh - is quietly creating a humane art education model: training folk music for students, especially children who have a passion but few opportunities to access it.
After a period of being loved for her rustic and profound North Central folk voice, Huyen Chi officially introduced the "Vocal Class" model - a place to nurture young voices and love for traditional Vietnamese culture.
With more than 100 students at three teaching locations in Ha Tinh, Nghe An and Thanh Hoa, the class not only teaches vocal skills but also trains emotions, stage psychology and love for the homeland's art.
Lam Thien Kim (12 years old) - A promising musical seed
During the teaching process, Huyen Chi paid special attention to Lam Thien Kim - 12 years old , a student with a clear voice, good musical skills and the ability to handle emotional melodies.
Recognizing Kim's special potential, Huyen Chi directly tutored and improved her vocal technique, and took her to small performances to practice her stage presence.
"Kim has a beautiful artistic soul. I believe she will be the face that continues the folk music genre in a very unique and emotional way." - Huyen Chi shared.
Non-profit operating model, bringing community values
The entire class is run by Huyen Chi's personal income from performing, recording and livestreaming . Students can participate with a nominal fee or for free.
With passion and professionalism, Huyen Chi is gradually proving that true artistic value does not lie in the spotlight, but in people who dare to sow the seeds for the future.
Spreading music, connecting generations
In the coming time, Huyen Chi will continue to expand the model in the Central provinces and organize performances combined with cultural education, aiming to bring traditional music closer to young people.
