On October 9, the Miss Grand Cambodia organizing committee held a press conference to speak out about the conflicts with Mr. Nawat during the organization of Miss Grand International 2024.

Ms. Sokhunthea also criticized Thai representative - Malin Chara-anan for her behavior of crying at the Thai airport when talking about the noise during the process of participating in the Miss Grand International 2024 contest in Cambodia.

She said that Malin Chara-anan lied to the media about the incident on the yacht. Ms. Sokhunthea also said that the Thai beauty was fake when she filmed a video of herself dancing as soon as she returned to Thailand, but when she met the media, she cried and looked pitiful.

As for Mr. Nawat, after returning to Thailand, he livestreamed to talk about the incident. He said that from the beginning of the competition, the Cambodian side did not arrange for anyone to welcome the contestants at the airport.
