Hai Sapa TV: Highland Youtuber eats raw fish, red book shrimp, gets caught

Talking about youtube channels promoting images in the Northwest, Sapa TV must be mentioned. This is a channel specializing in promoting images and cultural life of the Northwest people. It is known that the owner of this youtube channel is named Hoang Hai.

Hoang Hai - is one of the youtubers living and working in Lao Cai. In addition to his daily work, Hoang Hai, owner of the Sapa TV youtube channel, shares images, cuisine and people of the Northwest mountains and forests with tourists. In addition, Hoang Hai, also known as SaPa TV, is also known for appearing in videos of other youtubers such as Nem TV, Le Hoang Nam (Challenge Me - Let's Challenge Me).

His daily job is to drive and pick up guests to Lao Cai and other mountainous provinces. Although he has been to many places, he still finds the land and people of Lao Cai in particular and the Northwest region in general to have unique traditional features that no other region can have. While leading guests around, he often records small videos and posts them on Facebook with the aim of introducing beautiful places, delicious food, style, and culture of the mountainous people to his friends. It must be said that his channel has a lot of content that attracts viewers in just the first seconds.

In 2011, he started his own YouTube channel called Sapa TV. More and more videos received millions of views such as: Sin Cheng Market Cuisine, young dog meat dish that knocked down millions of drinkers,... attracting domestic and foreign tourists to support.

Initially, he only filmed videos in Sapa, then he expanded to videos of the Northwestern provinces. Recently, the Sapa channel reached 1 million subscribers and won the Youtube gold button. Currently, his Sapa TV channel is doing business, providing a list of some Northwestern mountain forest products such as buffalo meat, beef, smoked pork, spices... In addition, he also runs the Sapa TV hotel and organizes tours to visit villages and markets in the Northwestern regions.

He shared with the media that his main goal when creating the channel was to introduce tourists to understand more about the Northwest region in general, and Lao Cai in particular, a place with unique traditional cultural values and honest, lovable people, along with perfect scenery and delicious food.

He even gave examples of men men and soy bean soup, emphasizing that these dishes are not just food but also memorable memories, related to childhood and precious memories with rice mixed with corn and potatoes. This makes these dishes special and delicious, unforgettable.

Although it is loved by many netizens, Sapa TV channel has also received criticism for posting videos with content that is not suitable for Vietnamese culture.

For example, in 2020, the Youtube channel Sapa TV posted a video depicting a gruesome scene of eating raw fish "labeled" as belonging to the Thai people. Immediately after the video was posted, a wave of outrage from the online community, especially the Thai people, arose. Under the video posted by Sapa TV, most of the comments criticized this distorted and bad behavior that offended the traditional culture and cuisine of the Thai people. Many people even announced that they would unsubscribe from Sapa TV.

Not having learned from this incident, recently, the Tiktok channel Sapa TV continued to stir up the online community when sharing a video of Hai Sapa TV eating a shrimp (also known as a land dragon), an animal listed in the Red Book of Vietnam.

In the video, Hai Sapa TV and some friends eat and drink freely and make "winged" comments about the shrimp meat. According to the video content, these shrimps are raised by a household and sold to restaurants. In the comments section, many netizens expressed their outrage at Hai Sapa TV's behavior. Along with that are warnings about the consequences that Youtuber and Tiktoker Vu Hoang Hai may face when posting this video.

Not only is he a famous YouTuber, Hoang Hai also opened a restaurant and hotel in Sapa, managed by his wife. He is known in the list of famous YouTubers in Vietnam and is one of the only YouTubers living and working in Lao Cai. In addition to his daily work, he shares images and cuisine of people in the Northwest mountains with tourists.

In addition to helping the poor, Hoang Hai often participates in wildlife rescue in the Northwest region. He often goes to border areas and sees people selling wild animals such as wild cats and monkeys at the market. He spends mone.y to buy these animals and then contacts the rangers to rehabilitate and release them back into the wild.

In the near future, Hoang Hai and his teammates plan to experience, research and gain knowledge about real life in the Northwest mountains and forests, in order to spread the values and motivation of tourism to everyone.
