After the moment of kneeling in the middle of a crowd at My Dinh Stadium with the message "Please Long be my witness", the marriage proposal of a young couple immediately took the internet by storm.
On the evening of June 21, the VPBank K-Star Spark in Vietnam 2025 music event took place at My Dinh Stadium (Hanoi) with the participation of many famous artists such as G-Dragon, CL, Tempest, TripleS and DPR IAN. Although the program has ended, the sideline moments continue to attract attention on social networks.
On June 24, a video recording the moment of the proposal at the performance was widely shared on social media platforms. The main character in the clip is Ho Quang (born in 1996, living in Hoa Binh) and the woman is TB (born in 1998).
With the music of "K-pop king" G-Dragon, Quang wore a raincoat, knelt down and proposed to TB with the message: "Please Long be my witness". This moment quickly went viral, attracting thousands of views and mixed comments.
While many people left congratulatory messages like "SÄ© is gone, I congratulate you guys", "Post on Instagram and mention anh Long's name so he can see", there were also many opinions that this action was "pretentious" or "proposing in the wrong place". Sharing with the news website, Mr. Ho Quang said that the video was recorded at around 9:55 pm, right after the show ended. He asked a couple standing nearby to help record this special moment.
He said the two were actually husband and wife and had been married since 2019, but this was the first time he had officially proposed. Responding to negative comments, Mr. Quang said that both of them were parents, had children, and were both adults.
"We didn't intend to attract attention. We both love G-Dragon's music, so when we had a rare opportunity to see our idol perform in Vietnam, we bought tickets and sent our child to his grandmother to go see it together," Quang said.
He revealed that this was the first time he had attended a concert with G-Dragon. He had previously missed an opportunity when the male singer performed in Japan. After the experience at My Dinh Stadium, he was impressed by the enthusiasm of the young audience.
"I heard that G-Dragon might hold another show in November. Although there is no official information yet, if it is true, my wife and I will definitely continue to 'follow the idol' one more time," Mr. Quang added.
Not only Vietnamese fans are 'crazy about idols', but G-Dragon also shared the moment he fell in love with Vietnam. It is a video that combines images of G-Dragon performing in the rain, along with the joyful faces of fans. The slow-motion film combined with the background music Can't Help Falling In Love With You performed by the star born in 1988 himself creates a romantic, poetic atmosphere.
More notably, at the end of the video is an image of G-Dragon wearing a conical hat, sipping a drink and swaying in front of a mirror in a hotel room. He captioned it: "A rainy day for GD" , along with the symbol of the Vietnamese national flag.
The video quickly became a hot topic on Vietnamese social media. Fans believe that the Drama hitmaker fell in love with the S-shaped strip of land after unforgettable experiences.
Netizens commented: "Our country may still have limitations in technology, but the enthusiasm of the fans makes everyone who comes here fall in love", "Turns out it's not Vietnamese fans, it's him who falls in love", "He has fallen in love with us", "Absolutely cinematic. Watching until the end of the video and seeing Long wearing a conical hat in the hotel is enough to understand how crazy he is".
On the morning of June 23, after returning to Korea, G-Dragon expressed: "We stay up all night to have joy, stay up all night to have luck. Thank you Hanoi - respectfully."
Not long after, social media was abuzz with news that G-Dragon planned to return to Vietnam, bringing the Ãbermensch concert to My Dinh Stadium on November 8-9. Accordingly, a social media account believed to be the CEO of Applewood - the unit that operates G-Dragon's concerts in Southeast Asia - in Vietnam shared a photo of G-Dragon and wrote: "Ãbermensch G-Dragon Hanoi. 8-9 November 2025" . Currently, the male rapper and his management company have not confirmed this information.
