The Chilean representative at Miss Universe 2023 is the daughter of Miss World Chile 1992 Celeste Viel

Not long ago, Chile officially found a representative at Miss Universe 2023. The beauty of the new Miss Universe Chile 2023 makes Vietnamese beauty fans quite worried about the candidate of the country.

Accordingly, the finale of the Miss Universe Chile 2023 pageant was held on August 13 at Radisson Blu Plaza, El Bosque Santiago. The show is hosted by Miss Universe Colombia 2022 - María Fernanda Aristizábal.

Through the performance and conduct rounds, Celeste Viel - representative of the Chilean community of foreign immigrants, excelled over 17 other contestants to be crowned Miss Universe Chile 2023. She was succeeded and crowned by last year's winner Miss Sofia Depassier, who was also awarded Miss Congeniality at Miss Universe 2022.

Celeste Viel, 23, is currently a Public Relations student, model and health coach. In addition to the noble title, she also won the "Miss Pasarela" a.ward after the swimsuit competition. Celeste is the daughter of former Miss World Chile 1992 Paula Caballero.

She possesses the beauty of beauty standards, her physique is also among the "super products", adding a professional performance attitude, making beauty fans at home and abroad can't help but "rub". This makes Vietnamese fans feel even more worried about the upcoming Vietnamese candidate to face her.

Celeste Viel is also preparing to represent her country at the 72nd Miss Universe 2023 pageant to be held in El Salvador this November.

The beauty Kristina Lie from Puerto Varas was awarded the title of 1st runner-up. Santiago's Magdalena Landshut, Rancagua's Amaya Butron, and Antofagasta's Carla Sanchez were announced as 2nd runner-up, 3rd runner-up, and 4th runner-up, respectively.

Chicureo's Catalina Pradenas, Chiloe's Natia Tirachini, Colina's Gabriela Vasquez, La Reina's Karol Eberl, Providencia's Anais Godoy and San Bernardo's Magdalena Cid were the rest of the Top 11 overall.

Separately, the 1st runner-up of the Miss South Africa pageant - Miss South Africa 2023 - Bryoni Natalie Govender has been confirmed as the South African representative at the 72nd Miss Universe. The 26-year-old lawyer from Kempton Park in Gauteng lost to the new Miss South Africa 2023 Natasha Joubert at the finale of the national beauty pageant, held on August 13 in Pretoria.

Because the new Miss Natasha participated in Miss Universe 2020 and the current regulations of the Miss Universe organization do not allow her to return. So Natasha was f.orced to give up this ticket to the 1st runner-up and she is expected to compete in Miss Supranational 2024.

In the finale, there were 7 beautiful and smart girls competing for the noble crown called "Mowana". As soon as she was crowned, she shared on her personal page with the status: "I am extremely proud of myself. Thank you South Africa for all your support and love. My heart is still bursting with pride."

Earlier, the Miss South Africa organization unveiled the crown with the name "Mowana" for the new Miss during the unveiling ceremony held on August 6 in Johannesburg. The crown is exquisitely crafted, inspired by the "Tree of Life" or baobab tree and sponsored by Ursula Pule, creative director of Nungu Diamonds.

The new Miss will become a role model for young people and as an ambassador of South Africa. She will carry the country's heritage and one of South Africa's most recognizable symbols is the tree that symbolizes life.

At the event, Ursula Pule – Creative Director and co-founder of Nungu Diamonds shared: "My inspiration for the Crown came from the hunting trip we did in Musina in 2019; From the beautiful baobab tree, also known as the tree of life.

Baobabs are revered just like women, who are cherished as a source of life and positivity. Both are symbols of strength and resilience. The African sunrise is used as a metaphor to symbolize the rise of Miss South Africa at the start of her tenure, marking the beginning of her new life as South Africa's new beauty queen."
