The rumor that the Emperor of Chinese music had an affair and was accused by his wife quickly caused a stir, attracting more than 280 million views on Weibo (statistics based on the number of Weibo accounts reading this news on hotsearch).

However, soon after, Kunling's fans were quick to counter the rumors, saying that she last went online on December 30, 2023 and has not logged into Weibo since. The IP address of her Xiaohongshu account also indicates that she is in the UK, while the IP address of the post accusing Zhou Jielun of having an affair is in Taiwan. This raises doubts about the authenticity of the account posting the rumor.
