Singer Lynda Trang Dai was arrested in the US for theft and appropriation of tens of millions of assets

According to the case file published on the official website of the Orange County Court Clerk, Florida, the defendant Ngo Lynda Trang Dai Le, aka singer Lynda Trang Dai, was accused by the authorities of committing property theft.

The indictment determined that on January 5, in Orlando, Florida, the defendant Ngo Lynda Trang Dai Le committed an act of appropriating property belonging to the group of goods, agricultural products or means of transportation with a value of 100 - 750 USD (equivalent to 2.5 - 18.8 million VND).

Based on the evidence collected, the Orlando Police Department executed an arrest warrant for Trang Dai. The case file was transferred to Orlando Criminal Court on Jan. 6 for legal proceedings.

Pursuant to section 812.014(2)(F) of the Florida Penal Code, the alleged conduct is defined as "theft of property in the first degree" - a misdemeanor under the state legal system. The case is currently in charge of the judge of Criminal Trial Division A, with lawyer Joel Leppard participating in the defense of the accused.

Section 812.014(F) of the Florida Penal Code (Florida Statutes) provides for theft. This law defines and handles acts related to the intentional theft of another person's property without permission with the intention of appropriating or decreasing the value of the property.

Part (2)(F) of this law applies to misdemeanor theft under the following conditions:

- Stolen property is valued between $100 and less than $750.

- The offender has no previous criminal record for theft.

Penalty frame: imprisonment for up to 1 year; a fine of up to 1,000 USD (25 million VND); or both.

If the violator has been previously convicted of similar crimes, he or she may be subject to increased penalties and higher sanctions.

Singer Lynda Trang Dai was born in 1967 in Hue, and her family moved to the United States in the late 1970s. She is known for her vibrant music, sexy performance style, and was once compared to the "Queen of Pop" Madonna.

However, the stage name Lynda Trang Dai is not inspired by Madonna but comes from the name of actor Lynda Carter. In terms of personal life, the singer is married to singer Tommy Ngo. Besides her music career, she is also active in the business field, owning a fast food restaurant.

Lynda Trang Dai cherished her dream of becoming a singer since childhood, she debuted to the audience in the late 1980s. After that, she quickly received a lot of attention when she "blew a new wind" into her performance style. But Lynda Trang Dai confessed: "Maybe it's because I work too much, so I get thinner, but I don't have any secrets. I don't even know if my bakery can stand me because I keep going in and out and eating bread all the time.

I tell you the truth, I love to eat, I live to eat, not to eat. When I was hungry, I had to eat immediately, not vomiting, I couldn't stand it. People often call it hunger. What is delicious is that I eat a lot, there is no matter if I eat a little.

In particular, although I have been in the US since I was a chil.d, I only eat Vietnamese food, not American food. I just look like this, but I don't know how to drink, I don't know how to dress, even though I like to go shopping. I sing American music, but I only like to eat Vietnamese food, live purely Vietnamese."

Next, Lynda Trang Dai shared the reason for pursuing fiery music even though she was a Hue gir.l: "I was born in Hue, but when I grew up in the US, at the time when the music of Madonna, Michael Jackson... I kept listening to that music, so I was fascinated, at that time I just picked up the piano and imitated Madonna, Michael Jackson, who would have expected to grow up to be a singer.
