Growing up from the Sacred Heart Orphanage (Da Nang), singer Randy got used to the collective life with many other children. When he was 5 years old, his adoptive mother asked him to come back to help herd cows, grow potatoes, and plant rice. Because he has two Vietnamese-American bloodlines with dark skin, since childhood, the male singer has lived in the stigma and contempt of relatives and neighbors.
