Being buried alive is definitely one of the most horrible experiences we never want to have. Yet, Barbara Mackle was buried for 3 days, more than 80 hours, in the ground 50cm thick. And this millionaire daughter had to go through such a horrifying experience and it became a case that shook America in the 1960s.

At that time, Barbara was only 20 years old, a student at Emory University and staying at the Rodeway motel (Decatur, Georgia) with her biological mother. Due to the flu from Hong Kong (China) - an epidemic that spread quite strongly in the Emory University student community, her mother had to drive to Atlanta to take care of her daughter, and then take her back to Florida to spend Christmas. On the way back, the kidnapping happened.
