The person who changed her life and inspired Kim Ngan the most was her grandmother. She recounted a terrifying memory from her childhood: she was electrocuted and almost lost her life, but luckily her grandmother saved her in time.

"Throughout my growing up years, I always saw my grandmother silently sacrificing and caring for each child and grandchild without needing flowery words, just with loving actions," Kim Ngan confided. The biggest lesson she learned from her grandmother was that love does not need to be noisy, it just needs to be sincere. "It was during those difficult times that I saw myself clearly: I knew where my strengths were, what my weaknesses were, and realized the skills I lacked," Kim Ngan shared. She did not choose to give up but chose to slow down to understand herself, practice and continue to persevere.

Hoang Kim Ngan's journey has not been filled with roses. Before shining at Miss Cosmo Vietnam 2025, she had experienced memorable "failures". She participated in Miss Universe Vietnam in 2019 but did not achieve high results. In 2023, the beauty continued to register for The Face Vietnam, but also stopped in the Top 12. This failure became a valuable lesson. Kim Ngan admitted that she was very sad and doubted her ability, but that feeling urged her to look back and practice from the beginning, from demeanor, courage to confidence when performing on stage.
