Adele collapsed backstage, her health seriously deteriorating because of an illness that everyone is susceptible to

Adele's health is increasingly alarming. Backstage at a show in Las Vegas (USA), the singer fell and could not get up because of pain caused by a herniated disc.

On Aug. 27, Adele spoke to Pagesix about a health incident backstage while she performed at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas recently. "It's very difficult these days for me to walk because I have very bad back pain. A member of the production team once discovered I couldn't stand up and move. Then everyone quickly picked me up."

Adele revealed she was "lifted off the runway" after suffering sciatica and collapsing backstage during a performance of Weekends With Adele in Las Vegas.

"I had to sit down and rest for the sciatica to subside," singer Adele, 35, said of her chronic back pain during a concert over the weekend, according to The Sun.

Later, Adele told fans about the recent sciatica pain that had caused her to break down.

At an earlier show, Adele limped off stage while wittily confiding that she would try to walk to the other side of the stage to perform two more songs. The British painter said she had recently suffered from "very severe sciatica".

According to the Mayo Clinic, sciatica is a condition that usually occurs when a herniated disc puts pressure on part of the sciatic nerve, causing extreme pain or numbness in the back.

In an interview with The Face in 2021, the Someone Like You singer revealed: "I've had back pain for half my life. It often recurs due to stress or having the wrong posture."

Earlier this year, Adele also spoke about her chronic back pain while limping on stage. During the Weekends With Adele series, she had to sit down several times while performing because of the pain.

Speaking to The Face magazine, the singer said she first suffered a herniated disc at the age of 15 and relapsed after giving birth to her son Angelo by caesarean section. "I've had back pain for almost half my life. It flares up when I'm stressed or from doing the wrong pose," she said.

Her illness was part of the motivation behind her determination to lose 45kg from 2019. The singer said she is now more agile, able to run and jump with her children more, her back is not rough and her back pain has improved somewhat.

This isn't the first time Adele has had trouble on stage. She recently issued a challenge to anyone who intends to throw objects on stage while she is performing. The owner of the song Set Fire to the Rain made his point clear after a series of incidents where many artists were thrown mobile phones, sex toys, giant cheesecakes ... in live performances.

Adele is embarking on her Weekends With Adele extended residency tour in Las Vegas, which runs from June 16 to Nov. 4, including 34 sessions. The Grammy-winning vocalist performed here from November 2022 to March 2023. The show was praised by critics. Billboard journalist Katie Atkinson called her concert "breathtakingly spectacular."
