Venerable Thich Chau Quang explained that Mr. T. had a history of mental illness and had occasional bouts of mischief.
The Venerable added that recently, Mr. T. has been acting strangely, often screaming in the temple, then going out on the street to cause inappropriate behavior.
"In the near future, when Mr. T. finishes his treatment at the hospital, the temple will let Mr. T. go home," said Abbot of Sac Tu Pagoda Khai Doan, who will report information on the case to the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha.
Explaining that although the temple was tightly managed, when people came to chant sutras at night, Mr. T. went out to cause trouble. Venerable Thich Chau Quang hoped "everyone would understand". After the incident, last night (September 30), with the support of the police, the temple took Mr. T. to a mental hospital for treatment.

According to research, Mr. T. has been practicing at Sac Tu Khai Doan Pagoda for over 10 years. Four years ago, this man drove a motorbike and used a stick to break the car windows of passersby in Buon Ma Thuot City. After that, Mr. T. was prosecuted by the police for the crime of intentionally damaging property.

Faced with monk T's unusual psychological symptoms, the temple took him to many places for examination. However, monk T. repeatedly refused to take the medicine. Recently, abnormal psychological manifestations have become increasingly worse.
Talking to the press, Mr. T. admitted that he was wrong and said that it was due to the awareness of traffic participants that made him angry. According to Mr. T., because he was upset that the car driver was honking, he got out of the car and asked this person to apologize. If he did not apologize, he would break the rearview mirror. However, this person sat still in the car, so he took the stick he was carrying and hit the rearview mirror.
After that, Mr. T. continued to ask the car driver to lower his window to apologize, otherwise he would break the window. But this person still did not lower the window, so Mr. T. smashed the car window. Next, Mr. T. asked to apologize again, but the driver still did not comply, so he hit him again. "I went to Thailand. Thai people don't honk, and our own people honk loudly" - Mr. T. said.
