At the time of the explosion, there were about 40 workers at work.

In the afternoon of May 1, the Administration of Medical Examination and Treatment (Ministry of Health) sent a letter to the Department of Health of Dong Nai province, requesting to focus on emergency and treatment for victims in the boiler explosion in Dong Nai province.

Accordingly, the most severe case is patient Lieu Van Tan, 33 years old, a resident of Bac Giang province after surgery, transfused 6 units of blood, by 20h10 on May 1, the patient was intubated. On 2/5 the patient was awake, in good contact, the patient's tests were within normal limits, vital signs were fine.

Earlier, Mr. Tan was rushed to the hospital with complicated open wounds on his right flank, ruptured diaphragm, pneumothorax, right pleural hemorrhage, liver wound, and fracture of the left finger. The patient continues to be monitored in postoperative resuscitation.

In addition, patient Duong Van Tung (40 years old) underwent emergency surgery, treating the frontal brain wound. After surgery, the patient is awake, in good contact, tests are within normal limits, vital signs are fine.

On the evening of May 1, the victims who succumbed to the boiler explosion were taken care of by their families.

Talking to PV about the reason why the company organized the work on May 1, Mr. Bui Van Hien, a worker said that because the company needed orders, he still asked for overtime and overtime on holidays. "Whoever can do it, the company pays twice as much," Hien said.

The floating boiler is a water tube boiler, the steam generation capacity is 1,000 kg / hour outside, next to the semi-finished factory corrugated iron wall. During use, the company detected technical problems and contacted the equipment supplier to check, maintain and repair on April 30.

In the morning of May 1, this boiler continued to be operated and at 8:10 am, the boiler at the company's semi-finished product factory exploded, causing six people to survive, five people injured, and seriously damaged the factory.
